here, kitty, kitty
Next accessory on the needles, my Cat scarf. I couldn't resist my fabulous and fluffy Cat yarn anymore.

you have to touch this yarn!
I used this basic buttonhole scarf pattern from Phildar's fall 2004 mag, so I need a big, giant fun button to finish off the scarf. I've got plans to hit Windsor Button this week to hunt down the perfect one.
This scarf is so soft and wonderful that it mades me smile just to be knitting it. I have to credit one of my sons for convincing me to go ahead and start it. While we were trying to cheer the boys up at Friendly's after a rough day, S told me that once his milk arrives, "then I happy". Who knew it was so simple! Later, when I was packing my knitting bag, I thought "I make this scarf, then I happy".
Grin.

Stefan is a wise boy! I love his philosophy :-)
That scarf is going to be so cuddly around your neck. Very pretty, to boot. What sort of button have you got in mind?
I am all about Stefans philosophy and choice. I get crabby with out my milk (no joke, even crabbier than with out yarn!
cant wait to see what button you match to it
Cool! I have that Phildar too and I hadn't considered that scarf before I saw yours. Now I'm going to be a shameless copy cat! I have lovely expensive fuzzy yarn and I love buttons. Good idea.
I am going to hunt down this yarn...it looks sooooo soft!
If I made big green mittens I would look just like the Wizard of Oz when he answers the door and says 'Go away'...and then starts blubbering :o)
Remember those mittens :o)
You make your readers soooo happy w/your pictures of your new projects (love the pic of your son touching the scarf)!!!!!!

Hi Alison,
I was checking out the Harry Potter knit-a-long yesterday, thinking about joining. I emailed Rowan and they said they've withdrawn their Harry Potter sweater due to copyright issues. It's no longer available. Thought you should know.

Thanks, Melissa, we'd heard that the copyright costs were too high and that the pattern was no longer available. There are copies still in stores, you just gotta find 'em. And of course, some of us obsessed fans already had copies. ;0) Plus, the Yarn Warehouse is still selling kits. Check out my weasley along archive page for all the notes on these various issues.
Please tell me your secret for getting toddlers to drink their milk. Pulllleeeeze!
I think that quote would be cute to embroider on a toddler/baby hat. "When I get my milk, then I happy."
