We had gorgeous weather yesterday, so you know we had to go out to the button store! I quickly found a button to match the pink in the pop sweater.
But finding a suitable button for my cat scarf proved more difficult. The boys were very patient, entertaining themselves with a huge table full of buttons and little boxes. It was like a sandbox of buttons! Still I had such a hard time finding a button that I liked that I was seriously considering this look for a while. Then I spotted this button and it was good.
Cat scarf complete. Mission accomplished!

Yup to the poker ;o)
When my boys come home from college I make 'em play Texas hold 'em with me!
Your buttons are perfect!
great buttons. its so hard to find good ones. those are perfect.
Sounds like fun time at the button store! My little guy loves trips like that, too. I really lke the wood button you picked - the curved lines are so cool.
The buttons look great! It's so hard to find good ones...
Absolutely to the poker! I've gotten so into it that some friends of mine and I have started a regular poker night... (they all went home a little poorer the last time, lol) Do you find yourself talking to the TV when they play a bad hand? I admit it, I do, lol! :)
I have to echo what others said. I am obsessed with poker on TV, and have also started a girls poker night. I'm so happy that they brought Celeb Poker showdown back, it's definitely my fave out of the shows. Love your blog! :)
I kid you not when I tell you that the button you chose for the cat scarf is EXACTLY the sort of button I envisioned. It looks great!
P.S. I sure do like your t-shirt :-)
Personally I liked the first button ;) A LOT!!
Good thing you have Cat Scarf ready in time to take to the voting booth!
Yes to the poker. However, I have a new and more bizarre addiction--American Chopper. I'm NEVER gonna own a motorcycle, let alone a chopper. I'm NEVER gonna build a bike. I'm NEVER gonna be a bike mechanic. I'm NEVER...and yet.
I wait all year for the World Series of Poker. I am extremely happy that Annie Duke won the first-ever WSP Tournament of Champions and that she played with Phil Hellmuth's mind to do it. Annie is my hero. No one else understands.
Oh yeah, I completely understand about the poker on TV. (I confess I started watching world poker tour more than a year ago.) Since then I've managed to get my boyfriend and most of our friends hooked on watching and playing. Let me tell you -- watching's a lot cheaper, and you can knit while you do it!
I love all your buttons.
I was obsessed with Celebrity Poker Showdown but I don't get Bravo anymore. :(
I found your site through Becky's fluffa! and I love it! I actually learned to knit in German - from swiss nuns - so I thoroughly enjoyed your links stricken entry. It took me forever to remember to say knit and purl - I kept saying right and left stitch (linke und rechte masche).
Love the calmer hat - I have some leftover from a project and I'll have to make a cap too (I already have the patter book, but I'd prefer it without the seam.)
Kyla
ps - I also love your t-shirt. That's who I'm voting for, yes siree!
I liked the first button! Too bad it wasn't color coordinated.... ;)
I love that button you went with - very pretty! And love the tee shirt too!
The pink button is perfect as you don't want to distract or to compete with the unique peck-a-boo affect of the sweater! My almost 3 year old daughter just saw it and said "I want it, I want it", so rest assured, you're even getting the younger audience's vote!
I'm soo glad you didn't deface your pretty scarf with that first object! The second is really great - purrrrfect!
Hey-that does look like my cat is wrapped around your neck...
Well, I thought the first button was great, personally, although the colors weren't so nice, but the ones you found are also pretty good. I really like the shape of the wooden one.
I love the Cat Scarf. The button is perfect for it. Now about Poker on TV. Its truly addicting, perfect to knit by. Just listening to the play by play is most of it. My 10 year old son is also addicted to it. Much more fun than cartoons. Though it worries me that I might be raising a gambler, hmmmmmmm. I wonder if any studies have been done yet on the effects of TV poker on children and their future gambling habits. I better keep an eye on it.
