craaaaazy hands

One pair of bear paws and one pair of fingerless mitts. What fun!

one more pair of each to go

I'm trying to convince myself that my mitts don't look like burgundy wrist braces. I still wear my wrist brace occassionally at night to prevent any more wrist soreness and the similarity to these fingerless mitts is a little disturbing. But I will go ahead and make a second pair in, you guessed it, blue. I can't resist. The pattern is so neat and they only take about an hour to make.

The bear paws mitts keep sending me into paroxysms of "they're so cuuuuute!". The boys, however, weren't that impressed until I put the claws on, but now they think they're pretty funny. Maybe someday they'll like them as much as the $3 a pair of gloves I got them at Target. They're too big and have "hip" skater designs on them that I wouldn't have chosen, but the boys just loved them. B puts them on and then reaches out like he's a monster, saying "crrrraaaaaaaazy hands".

gloves and pajamas

I think next year's Halloween costume is going to have to involve unbelievably cute mittens.

Those bear paws are too cute. I just love the fingerless mitts.

Little Boys - I can relate! I love the claw mittens -- don't you almost want to make a pair for your self! Was the felt claw hard to attach?

Leslie

P.S. Be prepared, as your boys get older, they want the scariest costume around!

please, please don't forget to include some kind of "restraining device" so those bear claw mittens don't "go missing"

Hey I love the bear claws. I'm thinking about making a critter scarf from the same company. I made a pair of gauntlets like yours, same pattern but purple. Took me longer than an hour though.

Yes, Lisa, the string connecting them - I totally forgot! Of course, we still haven't bought the boys any winter coats, so there really isn't anything yet to string the mittens through yet....

Oooh, gauntlets, love the sound of that! That's not like a wrist brace at all.

Too cute - those bear claws. I think the burgundy mitts are great - not seeing the wrist brace association, but I used to wear one so I can understand... :)

Love the wrist warmers - coincidentally enough, I just made some this weekend too using Morehouse Merino...and no, they don't look like wrist braces!

The bear claws are too cute (as are your sons!) I love the wristwarmers. I'm running upstairs in a few minutes to grab my copy of Weekend Knitting to start some for me.

Very cute! I love knitting "hand wear" myself.

I guess Tuesday is knitalong day, and I do belive that I made the mistake of promising progress on my Banff for last tuesday. So just to try keeping my promise (one week late) I pulled it out again last night and knitted a few rounds on the second sleeve. I still have to do the back and front. But with some "tuesday preasure" may be I'll get the speed up soon, now that my other big project, Rogue is finished.

No Banff photo for now, but if you drop by my blog you can join me on a knitting cruise through the Norwegian fjords (second post from the top). You see; I've been buzy even if I've not been Banffing :)
