I love you to pieces

This is how the corners of my son's blankie look after almost 3 years of lovin'.

Yikes, I've got to close up those open stitches! While I was waiting yesterday morning, yarn and crochet hook in hand, to see if I could get the blankie all to myself for half an hour, I looked out the window and thought, "heck, if it's gonna be 55 degrees outside in Boston in November, then I'm gonna wear my cardi raye!"

pieces of me

Can you tell that the boys helped take the pictures? I don't think they quite understood what it means to "see mommy" in the display. Kids - you gotta love 'em!

One of my favorite things about a digital camera is that I can had it to my four year old and she can 'play' with it. Your children have very steady hands...it's just the aim :o) I always ask, 'can you see my face?'

The colors and fit of your sweater are wonderful!

That is a happy, happy sweater!

Whoa, Girl! That's one Rainbow Bright there -- and it looks great!

I do so love the cardi raye. I wish I would have got on that train before it left the station. Of course, I'd still be riding it.

My chick likes taking self portraits best. :0)

OMG! I absolutely love that sweater! The colours, the fit, the style, and the photos! Fantastic work!

This reminds me of the pictures my best-friend's niece took of us at her wedding. We got the pictures back, and it was just of our chests...it's still one of my favorite pictures! ^_^

I love your site BTW! I stumbled upon it while looking for the infamous Weasley sweater...I wanted to tell you that if you know of anyone looking for the pattern, I found a bunch at a LYS of mine!

The sweater looks awesome and I think the boys did a great job of taking pics!

Well, they are right! I *CAN* see you. It looks great! Perfect weather to wear it, while it lasts. The weather, not the sweater!
Hope blankie repairs quickly!

Hey Alison, sorry I missed you last Sunday when I stumbled out of the jungle and found my way to knitsmiths. I do so admire your cardiraye, even if you aren't a sparkly girl. It does suit you.
And how cute of your boys to love their blankets so well. I'm lucky if my kids haven't lost or abandoned the things I knit for them over time.
cheers!

What a beautiful sweater, it made me catch my breath! Besides the colors, which I love, the hook and eyes make for a clean closure and your stripe matching is something to be proud of.

i absolutely love that sweater!!

I've been dying to ask.......your sons blankies are beautiful but were there any problems making them outta wool? Meaning scratchy, special washing instructions (when they get peed barfed pooped on drug thru the mud) and long drying times? Or is that why you made the wee blankies so they would have a backup while the big main one was in the wash? or did you find some magic wool that you can wash and dry? I want to make one for my SIL and have to decide on the yarn....Love the blog, love the pics--esp the one of the boys sleeping on the plane. JOY! HAPPINESS!
