pull up a project and pass the tapestry needle or, will a seaming party be enough to help me finish pop?

Second pop sleeve done.

First pop sleeve out.

Reattaching front panels.

Time to buckle down and finish this sweater! So what are you seaming?

I'm seaming Pixie hats! One yesterday and another today. At least hats are small enough to seam quickly and relatively painlessly..

I'm seaming the striped chevron sweater for my mom, and having a dilly of a time getting the stripes to match up!

P.S. Woo, Gus and Hera! I was thrilled that they came in third last night!

I just finished seaming the Jo Sharp Nina sweater and am now patiently waiting for one more ball of yarn so that I can knit up the neckband and finally wear it!

I'm busy seaming another jumper from Phildar, the roll neck one and Bella from Rowan "It's a tape thing". Not sure how to seam with river tape yarn though!

I can very smuggly say: nothing! (well, almost nothing anyway). I've decided that for other people, working in the round and domino-style is better than the endless Christmas seaming party.

I wish I was seaming my ChicKnits' Ribby Cardie. But I'm just now inventing slash pockets for the front panels, so I've got a long way to go.

I love the colors in your Pop - where do you get Phildar magazines?

I'm at work right now, but I guess when I get home I should join the party and start seaming my son's sweater vest (tennis vest pattern from Jil Eaton's first Minnowknits book, done in loden green). It has been sitting in my drawer for weeks waiting for side seams and a neckline. I've been practicing avoidance by knitting hats and socks and mittens!

I've just finished seaming my Butterfly!

I'm seaming a Cutie Patootie baby sweater in Berroco Cotton Twist, which isn't that fun a yarn to sew with (it's a pretty splitty knit, too) but I've only got one side/sleeve to go ~

Lets see -- there are the sleeves I am having trouble setting in on Devan and Salt Peanuts has been done forever and thrown in a bag needing seaming and there is a mosaic cardigan for my other niece that needs seaming and button bands [I did finally seam the baby sweater I gave to the pregnant mother in April -- I gave it to her the day after Thanksgiving -- now that it is cold and will hopefully fit].

I'm seaming Christmas gift sweaters! I finally put together my little sister's side-to-side cardigan, and all that's left is to seam the last sleeve of my older sister's keyhole neck pullover. Luckily the hats and scarves for the small fry need no seaming. Phew!

I need to sew in the sleeves and the side seams on Butterfly.

First of all, I can't wait to see your sweater finished. It looks soo cute! As for seaming; Seaming?? hahaha I'm putting off sewing in the ends of my Sophie. I hate sewing in ends. I'm paranoid that they will get un-sewed in (although in this case felting should fix that problem).

I'm ignoring the other half of my mom's sweater. One side is seamed, the other isn't, and it's tucked away in a closet. I SO need to finish it, but I'm having too much fun knitting right now.

A hat. One single measley hat. I hang my head in shame.

I hate hate hate seaming. My husband's black sweater sits on the kitchen counter (I know...I know...bad area) waiting for the stitching up and the neckband. This was the sweater I'd promised him for his birthday, which was April 30. Then there's my light blue cardigan from Vogue Knitting. The pic is sooooo cute, but how would I know? It's in my armoire. In pieces.

Can't wait to see your sweater when it's done! I love the color combo. I absolutely hate seaming and weaving and have a stack of "to finish" pile of xmas presents somewhere, but I'll get to that on Dec 24th or so. Heehee.

I SHOULD be seaming my Baby Buddha Cable sweater, but I just can't BEAR to.

better luck to you!

I still need to rip out one side of my Peace Cardi and then put a grossgrain ribbon along the placket. Seaming and serious machine sewing! I have to use a friend's machine which is why I keep putting it off. Pop looks great and I adore the Weaseley's.

Pop is looking gooooooood. Serve yourself a kir!

This is so great hearing about everyone's seaming! I'm going to try to take some time while I'm seaming in the next few days to stop by all your sites and check out your projects. The seaming party is on! :)

Posted by: alison at December 2, 2004 10:39 AM

This weekend I'll be seaming a Chevron rib tank (free pattern Interweave web site) and "Kate" or sweater 4a from Phildar Famille Printemps 2004, both Christmas gifts. Then I'll be felting "My constant companion" bag which is HUGE and sewing on pockets.
Most Christmas presents are done except for the finishing. Scarves need blocking, things need buttons, etc. I don't have enough room and I have too much dog! She spreads her hair lavishly all over everything I am working on.
