Getting down to a little seaming with weasley two in blue. I was going to sew up number one first, but then I remembered.... after knitting the first one, I got worried that the sleeves wouldn't be sufficiently long for the boys to get a good year's worth of wearing out of the sweaters (their shirts always get too short in the arms first), so I lengthened the sleeves on weasley two. Before going back to lengthen weasley one, I wanted to seam up this one to see how long these sleeves really are.
One sleeve in, call in a boy and give it a try on.
Half seamed, only one sleeve, and no collar, but it's already too cute for words. Oh, I don't know if I can wait until Christmas!

he looks super cute in his sweater! what size did you make for your boys?
That is seriously cute. We just rented Harry Potter three and loved it (as we loved the first two). Those movies and books are the best!
Oh that's too cute - shoot, now I'm going to want to buckle down to try and finish my Weasley by Christmas!
Makes you want to reach into the computer screen and hug your son, who looks mighty happy w/his new sweater (way to go)!
That is very cute. Makes me want to go back and read the books again. You're lucky to have such adorable models!
Ohhhh, yours looks so cutie!! Mine is turning out funky...the letter is coming out almost raised. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Wrapping the yarn at switchover too tightly? How do you do this exactly? It seems as though one simple 1/2 twist of interlocking the yarn won't be good enough especially since the color isn't being picked up until 3 or 4 stitches later. I think I'm going to have to frog it back down again -- waaaaah.
so cute! seriously, so cute!
i must work on mine this weekend...19 days...i can do it. right?
i can't wait to see both boys in them!
They have turned out seriously cute! Great job. You are making them look very tempting...
LOL - of course now NONE OF US can wait to see your finished Weasleys...once I get through this weekend I'm back onto my two!
Very cute....Just wait it will make x-mas more fun
I feel the same way. No way I can wait til CHristmas for this gift. Yours look so cute

Your little ones are just way too cute. How do you find time to get all this knitting done? I need your secret.
He's so cute (so's the jumper)! Can I ask how it works giving them christmas gifts they have watched you make? Do they still get really excited?
Makes me want kids! (And I'm happy with my silent, non-sticky, selfish life, so that's saying something!)
Oh, so cute!!! Sleeves look long enough to me.
Soooo cute! I would probably crack and have to see them both in them before Christmas, side by side little Weasley's...but I am weak, you are probably made of stronger stuff.
Can you tell me what colors you used for your two sweaters? I am in the process of deciding what colors to use. Swing by my blog and give me your opinion...I am making a stop by my local yarn shop to see the felted tweed in person tomorrow. FYI: My roomate is going to be knitting along with us...she doesn't have a blog, but her name is Genia!
Taniat, if you are stranding the yarn across the back, you may be pulling the yarn too tightly. When you're ready to pick up the original color again, spread out the stitches you've just knit (the ones in the contrast color on the right needle), then bring the old yarn across the back and knit the first stitch. This should give you a float that is long enough to not pucker those inbetween stitches.
If you're doing intarsia with a new yarn for every color section, then there shouldn't be any puckering because there is no stranding across the back. Check out this little intarsia info page I did a while ago, to see how to twist the yarns.
Jo, they're just starting to understand Christmas, so we haven't had a situation yet where it really makes a difference that they've seen the presents before. In fact, they were at the Toys R' Us with us when we picked out their presents for this year. They didn't really seem to notice what we were doing, but we'll see when they open presents on Christmas day. I have a feeling we won't be able to do this next year, though!
Stacey, I'm using #141 (the gray/green sweater), #133 (the blue sweater) and the letter is in #145 (pickle).
