caution: elves, please try not to bleed on the knitting

Elf injury! Don't worry, it's nothing like this. No pointy sticks involved, just the staircase.

Fell down the stairs actually, heh, heh. Wouldn't have been too bad, except this elf tried to stop herself by trying to grab hold of the exposed brick in our staircase. Trust me, it's not a pretty site under that bandage!

The elves would like to tell you though that these fabric bandages (yes, I say "bandages") are awesome! They're soft as can be, stay put even in difficult areas (like the palm) and don't get caught on the knitting needles at all (you don't think this elf stopped knitting, did you?). So be sure keep some in stock for your knitting elves this holiday season.

Take it easy over there Gangsta Knitter! :) BTW, what happened with the other needle incident? Did you need stitches? Were they purl or garter, lol? Just kidding, hope you are ok.

Oh goodness, Liz, that needle injury wasn't me! It was poor Julia at MothHeaven. Here's her follow-up post telling everyone that she's just fine.

Yes, I agree with you about those fabric bandages -- they stay on the best! Silly you, falling down the stairs! What're you goin' and doin' that for? ;-)

Posted by: Norma at December 13, 2004 2:14 PM

I know, Norma, what a doofus I am falling down the stairs!

Recovery is going okay. It hurts to make a fist and the booboo is a little pus-y - yuck! - but I think it's healing. And I'm still knitting a little, just more slowly. Uh yeah, and I'm taking the stairs more slowly too. ;0)

Posted by: alison at December 13, 2004 2:20 PM

ouch! I usually fall up the stairs too, you feel sillier but its less dangerous than fally down in my experience... Exposed brick and stairs shouldn't go together in my book, for just this reason but I am clumsy.....

Posted by: jo at December 13, 2004 4:49 PM

Slow down, you're moving too fast! :)
Scheez. You coulda killed yourself! I'm glad you are basicly okay. I hope there are no bruises for you!
Owie!

Ouch. Come here. *Smooch*. Better?
I still say "plaster". Or "Pflaesterli" when no one's listening.

Ouch! And for the needle impalement...yiikeees! Please people be careful out there. Speedy healing.
