caution: elves on break

Hubby, no reading this post! Hee, hee.

everyone except hubby, click to peek

Socks for my man. He's in for a treat this time with super-soft Morehouse Merino yarn for these socks. I picked out this yarn during my approximately 4 hour visit to their store while in Rhinebeck. Unfortunately, I just can't possibly knit these in time for Christmas. So there will be balls of yarn under the tree for hubby this year. That's not all though.

hubby, still no clicking!

Picked these up at Rhinebeck too. Alpaca socks. Ooooh boy are these soft. And the little alpaca on them is sooooo cute. There was no way I could resist these and there was no way I was going to knit up fine gauged alpaca into socks (sorry dear!). So he gets happy feet and I keep my happy hands - it's all good.

And the elves get the day off!

Oooo! I *love* those socks! :) I didn't know there was alpaca sock yarn... does it have any nylon in it for strength?

Oh my goodness, that alpaca design is SO cute! Hmm, balls of yarn will be under our tree this year (two gifts, at least), too. You've done so many wonderful things this season!

Hmmm....Morehouse Merino socks! Those sound so yummy! I love the scarf I made for myself with their stuff. Gotta go back there while I'm home for the holidays... You have one lucky hubby indeed.

Cute! =) Never knitted socks before.

Andrea, the Fenwick Manor Farm website says that the socks are made of baby alpaca, pima cotton, and a little lycra. And they can be machine washed (very important for hubby!).

Ohh, I'm lovin' those alpaca socks. Must keep my eye out for some of those next year at Rhinebeck. Remind me, k? (hee) I'm still in love with your holiday package "click me" thingy.

Oh, my. Is all I can utter. Thank you for the link, too. Lucky hubby. Lucky hubby.

those alpaca socks are too cute! I wish I had thought to put something for my DH under the tree in the form of yarn. He is the only one not getting a knitted gift this year and I didn't even think of giving him the yarn in promise of a knit, it's lovely idea.

Even elves have to sleep. The little alpaca is adorable.

A pair of Alpaca socks AND a future pair of hand knit socks in exchange for building Ikea furniture to store yarn - I call that a fair trade!

I'm giving my BF ball of yarn too. I think this is the best way to go when the person's around too frequently for you to get a present knitted secretly.
