mini-we's

click for the weasley family parade

Late last night I finished up the last mini-weasley (mine!) and made about a dozen of these little hangers, thus finishing the great weasley mini-sweater project. There's one for every member of the family, so now we can all be together on the family Christmas tree back in Germany even if we can't all be together around it.

Those are So. Freaking. COOL!

Posted by: LauraA at December 18, 2004 1:31 AM

It's so funny that you're doing that because I have planned to do the same thing. It's great fun until you get to about the eighth sweater, and then the Christmas spririt starts to droop a little!

Still, I've been thinking that if and when I do have kids, I'll make a special knitted ornament (just one) for each of them every year. Just the right amount of work and so much fun to plan for.

Your weasely's look great!

Thanks everyone! For the hangers I used some 18 gauge craft wire and just snipped of a good length and bent it into shape. Here's a picture of what I used. It only took about 30 minutes to make all of them.

Julia I loved making these mini-weasleys. I was worried that I would hate them after the fifth or sixth one, but I really enjoyed knitting every one of them.
