you all knew it was going to happen

A blue bliss is underway!

I'd almost forgotten that I had these two balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky in the stash. I had originally planned to make a crocheted scarf with them, but that was before my orange bliss scarf. When I remembered them, I had to pull them out and make a blue version. Why didn't I think to make a blue bliss earlier? Especially considering that all of my hats and gloves are blue? Well, apparently I already made a ribbed blue scarf to match my blue hat. What should I do with that? No problem!

I'll turn it into mittens (and give that gifted mittens pattern that everyone's crazy for a try).

One left. I should be done in time for the next snow!

Umm Alison, look outside, it's snowing right now! Better get knitting on the second glove!

Please, Johanna, this is not real snow! ;0) No need to get nervous until it starts sticking to the ground.

I can't see outside, Alison. Everything looks white :-). I love that shade of blue. Blue hats, scarves, and mittens for the Blue Blog. How appropriate!

Feel eerily in synch with you today- I made a pair of GIFTED mitts last night in prep for today! Mine are shocking pink - very cozy. The BF wanted to wear them as they are so bulky and soft. should i be worried? ;-)
Have fun with the boys today- i see sledding in your future!

Looking out the window here at work watching New England turning white. Your URL to the free knitting pattern for the mittens was MUCH appreciated. It's never too late for mittens. Thank you.

What a snuglly looking mitten! Great pattern, too! I love the DB chunky - it is just way tooooo soft - that is gonna be one great scarf!

Heh - it's been snowing here in CT since 10am...but not a one is sticking so far...doesn't make it any warmer!

P.S. Weasleys!

Love the blue blog "blues"...hat, scarf and now mitts! Over at Knitters Review there is a thread about the blue hat that Anne Heche was wearing in a recent "Everwood" episode and everyone is trying to figure out how it was done because everyone LOVES it...that same beautiful icey blue with some lace and bobbles...someone left a website with stills from the show where she is wearing it...might want to peek in...for curiosity's sake, of course...

Alison

That DB blue is a wonderful shade. I've knitted one of the IK cover sweaters in this shade. Love the mittens, but another scarf wouldn't go amiss either!

Dawn :)

Thank you so much for that link! I attempted mittens for my girls for Christmas but have all but given up on them. I think I can whip these up quickly and make two little girls very happy.

Love the blue bliss!

I have a strong urge to find that yarn and rub it all over my body. And lick it. Well, maybe no licking.

Anyway, your scarf and mittens look great. And I'm knitting your leftovers and I love it. I just have to finish the armholes and weave in the 9 million billion ends. :)

I started my scarf as well. It's super soft. Really lovely yarn. I just have one worry, could it be too narrow for a man? as it's not very wide, I'm wondering if I should make it wider than 22 sts...than again my brother isn't wide at all, he is rather slender and bony.
