note to self

If you are trying to sqeeze in a couple of minutes of knitting while hubby and the boys are doing the grocery shopping, do not watch Cash in the Attic. Counting shoulder bind offs and listening to an auctioneer at the same time does not work!

(I'm sneaking in some daytime knitting today because we're going out tonight, sans kids, for our anniversary! The last time we went out alone was while we were on vacation in September and before that to see Harry Potter on opening night in June. We're averaging about one night out every quarter year. Oh my.)

Happy Anniversary!

Make it special!!! It is quite a great accomplishment to stay married nowadays :o)

We need to really celebrate our Anniversarys!

Happy Anniverary! Enjoy your night out without the kids. Don't feel too bad, we don't have kids and I still have to enforce a monthly date night. Now that's sad!

Hope you have a great night out. Your DH must really rate if you're not bringing the knitting along .

My DH and I also get out about once every 3 months. Depressing, isn't it? I hope to increase that frequency soon!

Happy Anniversary-- enjoy your night out! Quick fix-it question... I am going to be ripping out a sweater done with a superwash 100% merino wool... do I need do wash it or anything to get it ready to use for the next project (probably something stockinette, so I don't want the yarn to be too... um... kinky?)

I hope you are having a fabulous anniversary night out. A toast to many more (anniversaries AND nights out)!

I hope you and your DH are having a great date night. You seem to go out about as often as my husband and I do. Perhaps we'll get more date nights as the kids get older.

Happy anniversary! I hope you and your husband have many, many more happy years together. :)

how funny...i must have just sensed it was your anniversary. i called you on friday, got D on the phone and asked him if you wanted to drop off the boys on saturday for a playdate so you guys could get an early dinner/movie...he told me that you already had someone to watch the boys and then i thought maybe i wasn't being clear and he thought i was calling to say i was a babysitter...i couldn't fathom that you actually had plans that night given that you hardly ever go out....happy anniversary!

Posted by: lisa b at January 30, 2005 7:45 AM

Happy happy! And congrats on getting to go out...we didn't quite make it last week, and our babysitter lives next door! D'OH! soon, soon, we will get away together, and we only have one child to worry about! ;)

"Desparate Housewives" messed up my counting. Alsitair also hosts "House Doctor" on BBCAmerica. I'd put my house on the market if he'd come by. Happy Anniversary.
