sock sweetooth

I simply cannot resist summer sock yarn! I took the boys downtown last week to play in the park and ride the Swan Boats and stopped in at Windsor Button. And they had fun Fixation sock yarn! (Not to mention all sorts of other things that I haven't seen elsewhere. Oh, Windsor Button, why must you tempt me so?)

Then I got to work on Saturday at A Good Yarn and there's new colorways of Art Yarns Supermerino. How am I supposed to leave the store without taking a few hanks of this with me?? Seriously.

The stuff is like candy! And I've got a real sweetooth. I guess I know what I'll be doing over the long weekend!

Hey! I just bought some Fixation too! I'm finding it very odd to knit with. SO elasticy!

Oh my that Supermarino looks devine! Love the colorway. The sock yarn is interesting too. Will look forward to seeing it all finished. I didn't know Cascade made sock yarn...oh my...so much yarn, so little time!

I'm loving the Art Yarns Supermerino. That's some yummy yarn!

Mmm, look at all that pink! I can't resist sock yarn in general. It's so great cause for $20 or less I can get enough beautiful yarn to actually make something.

I love the artyarns....pink is my weakness...enjoy knitting with it :)

I recently picked up some Fixation, too. I've used it in the past to knit socks for my children, but thought I'd knit a few pairs of footies for myself. I was surprised by how soft the yarn is. My daughter informed me that it is her favorite sock yarn so far. Now I wonder why I didn't start knitting kid socks with Fixation rather than Lorna's Laces!

Lovely choices Alison! I can't resist the pink either :)

Have fun with it this weekend!

That ArtYarns reminds me of the Strawberry and Cream Creme Savers. Mmmm! Happy 4th!

Fixation really is like candy, all round and covered in plastic and fun colors. Have fun!

Oooooh, love all your new yarn! I love Art Yarns! I have a friend who just knit some lingere stuff out of fixation... !!

Posted by: Dani at July 1, 2005 10:01 PM

Why, I'm making socks with the Supermerino, of course!

Oooh, lingere stuff in fixation. That sounds fun. ;0)

Allison

I too love fixation sock yarns. I use leftovers to make wonderful stretchy little baby hats. I wonder if I could make a shell with it? Could I? Its so affordable...
