HiP and Silkie

What do you make if you want a Harry Potter scarf, but don't want to buy 1000 yards of yarn or knit 57,000 stitches? Just make a skinny hip one and tie it around your waist!

And what do you do if you just want to try out a couple of colors of a special, silky yarn? Make a silk tie, that's what! I think I'm gonna try the next one in Elsebeth Lavold's Silky Wool. Mmmmmm....

Yes, that's right, new patterns are up! Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks very much, the new pattern look great. I specially like the idea with the tie, but fear that I´m not brave enough to wear it...

Those are adorable. I can just see Hermione wearing them as a dash of House solidarity while she's wearing her Muggle clothes.

Is there a start date for the knitalong?? I'd suggest right AFTER the sockapal2za shipping date, so that we don't forget about our socks...

Posted by: Helene at August 25, 2005 8:20 AM

and it's great to see that another person is obsessed with harry potter knitting.

Thanks so much for the great patterns. You are so talented! Good for you for making sure that noone ruins HP for you. I HATE when people assume that everyone else has finished the books also!

Don't follow this link until you've finished Chapter 24 of Book 6, but the coincidence is striking... check out what Romilda Vane is wearing, over on the right side of the picture.
