another day, another sleeve, another drama

Nbat sleeve number two is done. And I am back in sleeve Hell.

Once again I was a little overzealous on the length. Oops! Oh well, no point in fixing it now since I still may have to rip both of them back. Until I finish the front and can sew in one of them, I am not going to swear by the length of either.

So it would seem that I have done about all the intarsia-avoidance that I can. Now I must finish that damn front panel!

Have you ever tried doing both sleeves at the same time on circs?

Oh yeah, I'm too much of a dork for that. I'm forever setting the knitting down between sleeves and not remembering which one I just worked on. So I never got the sleeves to come out the same length that way either!! And I'm just as retarded when it comes to row counters: "did I click it? I don't know. Oh, hell, I'll just count the rows!"

Oh such pretty sleeves! I love the boys drawings down below. They are just too cute :)

Re: knitting sleeves together on two circs, Alison ... I used to do the same thing (forget which one was which and make them wildly different lengths). Now I use one of those plastic saftey-pin type markers to clip the sleeves together. That way I can never forget which one is in "front".

Whoa! I'd better get cracking on my own NBaT....Sleeve number 2 is still in limbo. Your sleeves look great: despite the length issue (what's an inch or two between friends, anyway?), the color still glows. Can't wait to see the secret front design revealed to all....

Sometimes I think you post these boo boos to make the rest of us mere mortals feel better. By the way, thanks.
