color me green

Look what B made for me yesterday! Out of the whole coloring book, he picked out this page and colored it for me.

The other day we caught a quick video between episodes of Spongebob Squarepants called "How to Draw Plankton" (don't you just love Plankton?! The boys do.). The boys immediately turned off the tv (gasp!) and went to the table to try to draw Planktons. They made me do a few first, then I went upstairs for a minute. When I returned B had drawn this.

The first thing one of them has drawn that has actually looked like something. I was so proud that I got all teary-eyed. Awww. Plankton would hate that.

I had the same thought as Teresa. That drawing looks like the stuff I see on all those "alternative graphic novels." B is a genius!

It's the little things that get you. I remember the first picture my eldest daughter drew that looked like anything. It was a character from a cartoon called "AAHH! Real Monsters". I also remember dancing around the room when she read the word "hat" all by herself.

That's the cutest plankton I have ever seen. It would make an adorable stuffed animal. :)

Very nice drawing, B! Make sure your mom labels it as your 1st drawing that she knew what it was so you can save it with your baby book.

My 5 YO drew a slew of very angry plankton the other night! LOL! Who said SpongeBob isn't educational?!

What a great drawing! You must be very proud. Love that he colored the yarn for you. Must be a pretty cool coloring book :)

So cute! I totally want to cry when the kids at school draw me pictures...I would have been totally sobbing if it were my kid!

honest to god, Alison, I just saw the HOW TO DRAW PLANKTON on spongebob and his drawing looks just like it!:)
Hey, just cuz my kids are older, doesn't mean we can't enjoy a good spongebob now and then!
Does it?
