rings and things

I had a little homework for the store to finish up before we leave for Germany next week. First the Karabella side-to-side scarf that I was knitting while reading the last few hundred pages of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Oh yeah, there's a matching hat! Isn't it cute?! The pattern ("Ring Hat and Scarf") is so clever, with simple patterning and lots of great colors. And the Aurora 8 is such a lovely yarn: yummy to knit with and blocked out soft and beautiful. Love it!

No, I didn't knit this one. Just a little finishing job for the store: a little seaming, a few edgings, and a good blocking. It's a cute design (the Tropical Tee from Oat Couture). It's one of those patterns that I like a lot more after seeing it in person than I ever would have thought from only seeing the pattern pic or schematic. Looks like a great, easy knitting project for beginners. Well, except for the finishing, apparently.

The scarf and hat are so cute! I love those colors. I need to find out of one of my lys's has a finisher, that could be so helpful. Or I guess I could just practice and get better at it huh? :)

I really like the scarf and hat and you're right, great colors. I want one of each.

Great stripes on the hat and scarf combo! I haven't had the chance to knit with Aurora 8 yet, it sounds scrumptious.

Have a great time in Germany! I would love to go back there again...

Didn't know if you saw the new Harry Potter Ipod. :) I thought of you immediately.

I LOVE the hat and scarf. Where did the pattern come from??

Have a safe and fun trip to Germany!

The ring hat and scarf look great! I've really got to learn how to visit knitting blogs without coveting every pattern I see :-).

I love the hat and scarf combo. Will Pop be a part of next year's (possibly) Fabulous February Fixin?

BTW, do you have any tips on knitting and reading? I can knit and watch tv, but eyes aren't glued to the screen. I guess that's why I can't knit and read b/c every now and then, I glance at my knitting. I can read a couple of lines and then knit, but not both at the same time. :(

I love the hat and scarf! The colors are really pretty. I like me some colorful but dark colors!

What is the edging for the tee, that makes it so difficult? I'm only able to see it with 1 eye! LOL! It looks like a cute top.

No complicated edging at all, only moss stitch. It's really an easy pattern, finishing and all, but some beginners just aren't up for seaming.
