1. Once you have received your socks, please either leave a comment here or send a note to the pal who knit for you. Some pals who haven't heard back have become nervous that the socks might have gone missing. A simple comment here would be plenty to let them know that everything arrived okay.
2. For those of you still waiting for your socks, don't feel too bad, I haven't gotten my socks yet either! I did receive this fabulously cute little sock bookmark from Helene, though. Thanks Helene, these may end up being my sockapalooza socks for this round!
If you haven't heard anything from your pal about your socks being delayed (like me!), feel free to send me an email. I can try to write to them or at least investigate whether the socks are being sent internationally and how likely they are to still be underway. If we don't hear back from your pal, I'll put you on the list for substitute socks or sock yarn. Of course, we're only three weeks past the deadline, so don't give up yet!
3. If you're still knitting or have just recently sent out your socks, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE contact your pal or me to let them know of the delay. I'm hearing from lots of disappointed and discouraged pals wondering where their socks are. I have to say that I am very surprised that almost 25% of the names on the list are not yet listed as finished. I hope to hear from many of you soon.
Thanks so much to everyone who has worked so hard to make this exchange a success! It's been wonderful to hear from all the pals who have been so pleased with their socks. And I apologize to all of you who seem to have been forgotten by your pals. I'm still wishing for happy feet for everyone!

I received my beautiful leaf socks from Shonnie in Nova Scotia (I live in Michigan!) on Friday. They are a soft green color and even have a left and right foot -- I've never had such luxury in my life. Thank you Shonnie!
I finally posted pictures of the socks I knit for my sock pal, Anne-Marie. I also posted pictures of the lovely socks I received from Liz of Lizbethknits.blogspot.com way back in September.
Thanks again, Alison, for putting together such a great exchange.
Hi Alison. I was completely spoiled by my sock pal, Renada, as she sent me TWO pairs of socks. I posted about them here:
http://brenda.typepad.com/close_to_my_heart/2005/09/wow_wow_wow.html
My Pal Shannon received her socks a couple weeks ago.
Thanks so much for organizing this, it was a lot of fun!
My socks came last week. I sent my pair to Rebecca on the 15th and STILL have not heard if they were received. I really hope she got them/ liked them.
I hope you get your socks! (But if you don't, at least you did pretty well in the first swap. ;) )
I received my socks last week and i posted about them on my blog! she sent me some goodies too!
you're the best organizing this! thank you it was super fun and i'm totally addicted to socks! i have to make more for my toes! LOL here's the link to my blog post about them. http://starknits.blogspot.com/2005/09/sockpal_29.html#comments

and my sock pal got the ones I send (www.stitchingforsanity.com). Everyone is happy!!
Hi Alison-
I haven't heard anything from my pal yet, but like you said I am not giving up hope. I got shafted by my SP5 and I just can't bear the thought of it happening again :(
My pal Karla doesn't have a blog, but she emailed me and said she liked her socks!
Hi Alison-

I just got my socks from Sarah in Washington and they are fantastic. Thank you very much for all your organization. I hope your socks make it to you soon.
Alison - Just wanted to let you know that I'd be happy to be a replacement sock knitter (pinch knitter?) if you need some volunteers. Thanks again for organizing the swap!
I received my fabulous socks from Pauline in Nova Scotia yesterday. I love love love 'em!
I sent my socks off on time (the last day...), but haven't heard if they arrived safe and sound. I sent them by priority mail, so they should be there by now. Do you know anything about them??
Hi Alison, another volunteer here if you need one, any excuse to knit!
Just wanted to give a shout out to a sockapal2zer who I met at MANA this last weekend. Hope you got your socks, and that you heard from your recpient as well! Come visit the blog and say hi, I forgot to get your name and didn't see you again.
Alison, I hope your socks come soon, and I have already volunteered, but will again, to be a backup knitter if you need one.
I just wanted to let you know I received my socks last week from my anonymous sock pal. They are a very lovely fairisle'd cuff and gorgeous lorna's laces yarn too! Thanks socks pal!
Keri, I recognize those socks! Those were knit by Helene...I love them-she did such a great job!
Alison, I'll pitch in with an extra set of socks if you need me. The thought of not getting that magical package from afar is too sad for me to bear! Plus, you know, it would mean more justified sock yarn purchase.
Just wanted to let you know that I received my beautiful little sock pal package last Friday (see yesterday's post). They came from Cass at Cass Knits.
Although I finished knitting my socks so early, I was a little late in getting them off to my pal. (I should have mailed them early and not let work get in the way). But they are off and I would expect that she has them by today or tomorrow at the latest.
okay i am dying here! are you hosting a third sockapal any time soon:) every blog i read is into this and i want to make sure to be in the next... i love making socks!!!!

Did you get your socks?
Email me!
If you find yourself in need of another sock knitter to make up where others dropped off, I'm game.
Hi Sockers - I got my socks from Namita and they are wonderful - soft and really beautifully knit blue anklets. I wear them all the time. I finished my socks for Erin, whose finished socks for HER pal left me paralyzed w/ performance anxiety. Woah they are good. I finished mine WEEKS (2 weeks) before the deadline, but then couldn't let them go. I mailed them yesterday Erin so they're on their way, I promise. Thanks again, Alison for organizing this.
Hi Alison,
I haven't heard anything from my pal yet either. It is a sad trip back from the mailbox everyday, but I am sure they will appear soon! My pal, Debi, has received hers.
Thanks so much for organizing this!
Hi Alison!
I really appreciate all of your work on this project, and hope you can help me. :) I sent my socks on the 15th, and haven't heard from my buddy who received them. I emailed her, but no response there so far either. I also haven't heard anything from whoever is/was working on socks for me. I don't mind waiting, just wish I knew they were in the works and not forgotten.
Thanks so much!
I'm visiting the States right now from Germany, but my husband tells me that my socks from Chrissie arrived on Friday, all the way from Singapore! From the sounds of it, they sound very lovely - black with an all over pattern in blues. Can't wait to see them! Thank you!
I'm a bit worried since it's been, what, almost 3 weeks, since I sent my socks off and there's still no word from my sock pal that she's received them. I hope they're not lost in the mail!
Hey Alison! Could you update my link in the Weasley-along? I now have a blog! Hooray!
Just to clarify, Freecia got my socks from me and I received my wonderful socks from Carol. Alison, this was great fun! I am looking forward to another one. Thank you for ALL that you have done to make this work!
All socks good stop. Married Saturday stop Blog soon stop
I finished my socks, and my sock pal has posted pictures of them on her blog here(http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/3223935) since I didn't have a camera to take a picture before I sent them.
I haven't received my socks yet, but I hold out hope, since it really hasn't been that long.
I received my socks from Lindsey and plan on blogging about them today. I sent her an email but am unsure if she got it. If not, Lindsey-I love my socks!
I'm one of those folks that have not heard from their sock pal. I mailed them ON the 15th, and the delivery confirmation says they arrived. But my pal doesnt have a blog, and hasnt visited mine, much less left a comment or dropped an email as far as I know. So I'm unsure of what to think.
On the other hand, Alexandra in Germany made my awesome socks, and I touched base with her on her blog. We've even decided to do "an un-secret-pal swap" with each other :)
If you still need back-up knitters to fill in the gaps, let me know. I'm not a terribly fast sock knitter, though.
Hi Allison -
I still haven't received my socks, but hold out hope. Samantha received the socks I sent and like them Yeah!
If you need a replacement knitter, for someone else, I'd be happy to fill in. I just took an inventory of all the sock yarn I have and it's extensive... :-0
Gwen
Hi Alison!
I received my socks from Cathy! The socks are wonderful and fit very well. I left a comment in Cathy´s blog and I also made a contribution in my blog. Hopefully Cathy will read this!
Greetings from Germany!
Silke
i sent mine out on saturday and e-mailed my pal to let her know. there is a picture of 1 3/4ths of the pair up on my blog. i took a picture of the finished pair, then misplaced the cf card, so hopefully the recipient will take a picture when she gets them.
Hi Alison,
I'm a bit late in writing to my pal, but I received her socks over the weekend. I've just now emailed her, and also updated my blog with a picture and thanks for the lovely sokcs.
Silke, who I knitted socks for, also left a comment on my blog saying that her socks had arrived.
I got my socks from Lola. Amazingly beautiful socks. I love them. You can see them here:
http://beentsy.blogspot.com/2005/10/so-beautiful.html
Thank you Lola! And thank you Alison for all your hard work organizing this!
I wanted to leave a comment on Lola's blog to let her know I got the socks but the comment function seems to be unhappy at the moment. I don't have her email address so I can't send her a proper thank you! Argh!
well, no news is good news, i'm assuming. i haven't heard from the lady i sent my socks to. i got mine weeks ago, and loved them (dragon scales indeed!)
Hi Alison,
My socks were delayed due to leaving them at a hotel for my sister's wedding.
They have been recovered, blocked and wrapped. They will be shipping out Priority Mail, tomorrow.
Thanks again I've loved doing this.
Danielle
Alison,
I haven't received socks yet -- it would be good to get an email saying they're delayed or not coming, and then I could stop looking for them!
But even if no socks come, being part of this project has been BIG fun. Thank you -- Pam
I sent my socks off by priority mail on Sept. 17th and emailed my sock pal a couple days later to let her know to look for them. I haven't heard anything back, so I don't know what happened. They weren't returned, at any rate...
Alison, sorry to hear some people are not pulling through and sending their socks. I didn't participate in this round of Sock-a-palooza but I have a pair of socks that I knit and then tucked away to save for a Christmas gift. I'm willing to send them to someone who doesn't recieve their socks if you need me to. They were knit to fit a size 7 1/2 foot. Let me know if I can help--Kate
Is there going to be a Sock-a-palooza 3? I'm just dieing to know! Much to my chagrin I missed the sign up period for round 2 - but I'd sure love to sign up for a third round! Maybe post your intentions here on this blog or invite someone else to host one if it's too much work.
I also mailed them off in September (I believe it was on the 18th or so of Sept) and sent an email too. Her blog hasn't been updated so maybe she is away.
I recevied my socks all the way from Germany from Bente! I love them!
Same status here. Got my loverly :) 2 pair of socks from Karen but haven't heard a thing from Brooke. I mailed hers the 14th.
I received my beautiful go with the flow socks from Shawna. They fit perfect and I love the pale pink color. I am sure they will keep my feet nice and warm this winter.
Hi Alison,
Just wanted to let you know that my socks are already received by Ann from Canada & I got my socks from Barbara from NC, USA.
So consider mine done!
Thanks for hosting this!
Got my great fall socks from Jackie, and Lori (so far blogless) wrote that she got mine.
I recieved great socks and a cute pair of stitch markers from Jen at monkeyknits! I love them and they fit perfectly! My socks are still in progress due to morning sickness and buying a new house. I have let my pal know and she was so sweet! I hope to have them done by Wed. of next week! Thanks
I received my socks on time, and unfortunately am very late in sending mine out. They are finally blocked and dried and will be going in Friday's mail.
Got my socks on the 16th (I think) last month, and my pal got hers, too, so I'm a happy camper all around. :)
My socks are all packed up and ready to be sent tomorrow when the mail starts up again. i've been posting comments on my pal's blog for the past 6 weeks or so, warning that I would be late! i haven't heard back from her at my sockapalooza-specific email address, but i hope she's reading her comments . . .
And not only have I gotten my socks from my lovely pal, Kelly, but I got to meet her in person! Kelly was up in Boston from Louisiana this past week, so we went to Knitsmiths together last night, which was great (though you were greatly missed, Alison!). So now not only do I have gorgeous new socks, but a new pen pal :)
Thank you for organizing, and I hope to participate (in a more timely way, of course) next time!
Oh! Oh! OH! Real life has just thrown me for such a loop. It took me an extra three weeks, but they are done! I certainy hope she likes them. I do, I do, I do hope she likes them. I will not be able to send them out until Friday, but the package is waiting on the desk.
If not? Well, I will cry but she can always make another more to her liking with the left over yarn and a few minutes spent frogging.
*heard in stage whisper* please let her like them, please let her like them.
