weasley's weekly wizard wheezes

Two knitting wizards to report on this week: Erica finished her daughter's weasley and it looks awesome! And Michelle has started a neat Ravenclaw raglan sweater.

I caught the first movie on ABC Family yesterday. WITH the deleted scenes of all the Weasley brothers and Harry in their sweaters. So here's a little inspiration for those of you still working on weasleys:

look, green "F" and "G" weasleys for the twins!

hey, that's Percy in the back in a brown weasley

and, finally, we get to see Harry in his blue weasley

I made popcorn for the occasion and started a Hermione hat.

Apparently, I wasn't Harry Potter-ed out after all. As soon as I saw this bright, rich variegated red Manos at the store, I simply could not resist trying out the hat with it. If there's more of this yarn, I swear, I'm snatching it up to make the matching mittens!

I am so glad you are making the Hermione Hat! I loved knitting that pattern; it is way too cute. Great yarn too!

Oooh, I love that yarn. I have some Peace Fleece that may want to be a Hermione hat. I'm nearly inspired to try a full size sweater now, thanks to those shots. Maybe after I finish the current baby sweater.

I love that variegated red Manos - I've been tempted to pick some up to make a My So-Called Scarf. Your lovely hat is causing my will to weaken.

How late to the party am I? As of last week I decided I need a Weasley. I totally don't understand it.

So much for the core stash, eh? I don't blame you; that Manos is too nice to leave it alone.

thanks for the snapshots! my X sweater is nearly done- i'm on the neck and just have to sew up some seams. will be sure to send along a pic. And can you tell me what pattern you're using for the hat?

Duh. Never mind. i see the link.

Thanks for the pics. I am busily trying to finish up on mine (I never officially joined the kal, but I'm k'ing-al anyway - see progress pic 1 and progress pic 2).

Just saw The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and I'll be looking for Lucy's arrival hat. Adorable knit items in that movie!

Can't wait to see your hat. I still haven't made the mittens, but the weather is going to force me to real soon!

GRR- I didn't know there were deleted scenes! I watched part of it, but my husband is SO not a fan...I wish I had seen all those beautiful weasleys!!
I love this update so I can go look at all the finished weasleys of the week!!

And I finally got to see the new movie. Loved it!

Do you know if the deleted scenes are on the dvds? I need to get those!
