the blue blog archives: weasley's weekly wizard wheezes

Cat finished an awesome "E" weasley sweater.
Micky has been in a Harry Potter mood, finishing both a Hermione hat and a weasley cell phone cozy.
and Knitopia knit some Sunshine Yarns Gryffindor socks. They came out great! (PS - a little birdie told me that there will be lots of self-striping HP sock yarns for sale at Sunshine Yarns Tuesday morning!)

I think you gals (and the recent DVD release of Goblet of Fire) have got me back in the mood to do some HP knitting. Ahhhh, knitting and Harry Potter - is there any better marriage of two obssessions? My boys say yes. Coming this summer it's Lego Spongebob sets. We are so excited!

UPDATE: Hey, look Shannon snapped a picture of me at Knitsmiths last week (with her super cool new razor camera phone!) wearing my weasley!

I call my HP scarf, the 1 year scarf.. I plan to finish it in time for the next movie :) which lets me relax a bit this summer!

I totally agree with the combo of HP and knitting, somehow sitting down and watching a HP movie while knitting just gives me a peaceful, warm&fuzzy, happy feeling. Last fall I was both a "refugee student" (from Katrina) AND I had mono, so it was pretty rough, but I watched HP movies like there was no tomorrow and knitted constantly... I guess I attach a "well-being" feeling to that combo now!
I may have to check out the gryffindor sock yarn, although it always gets sold out before I even get to see it!

I finally ordered my purple Felted Tweed for Iris' "I" sweater! (I always want what my LYS doesn't have, she's always special ordering for me. I feel bad, but what am I going to do? She's a purple kinda girl!) :-)
