the one armed woman

... would so be done by now. But I still have one sleeve on the needles. Dang all these limbs! I can't wait to wear this top. I just know I'm going to love it so much, I've gotten ahead of myself again by pulling out the cotton angora for my next t-shirt sweater. Now I just have to keep myself from bringing the new yarn to the playground today.

Must work on sockapaloooza sock, don't start next t-shirt sweater yet, work on sockapaloooza sock, deadline knitting, don't get distracted, must set good example for knit-along, put that cotton angora down....

Good luck resisting the evil voice in your head!

Just love that top! Saw the pattern at a shop yesterday, and I must say that I like it much better in the Synchronicity than the Atacama. Such a great color.

Alchemy makes some incredible yarn, don't they? The t-shirt sweater is beautiful and if I didn't have to finish all that knitting for my friends' shop and ths stuff I'm designing and the sockapaloooza socks, I'd totally go buy the pattern!

It looks great! Deadline knitting is good and bad. I have two baby sweaters on a deadline ... and right now they are the last thing I want to be working on. *sigh* ...

I just love that pink!

Posted by: Andrea at April 12, 2006 10:19 AM

mmm, cotton angora sounds jummy, what kind of yarn is that?

Posted by: helene at April 12, 2006 10:20 AM

Divide your time between Gorgeous Pink Sweater and Sockpalooza Sock. Do the sock first so that the pink is your reward.

I have to trick myself like this all the time.

Amazing color, that.

Wouldn't it be awfully hard for a one armed woman to knot though?

Posted by: Jenn C. at April 12, 2006 11:05 AM

you made me run right out and buy the pattern book.

Posted by: marnie at April 12, 2006 11:20 AM

Wow. That is gorgeous! I love the colour! That's your Nothin but a t-shirt pattern with full length sleeves, right? If I didn't already have a billion projects started....

I just found your blog--I love the pink color as well--n fact, I recently found your afghan blog done with mitred squares--I have been looking all over (with no luck)! Would you be willing to share where you found your informtation. I would like to make one in hot pink and lime green (Graduation gift--fav. colors, etc.) Thanks!

I love the color way, I too am in the one arm stage of a sweater for my DD. (See URL)

that sweater is going to be fabulous - such a great color!

Posted by: Teyani at April 12, 2006 11:51 AM

No Julia, it's a pattern from Ella Rae, Book I called T-Shirt Sweater. It's a cropped, low neck, 3/4 or long sweater to pull on over a tee or buttoned shirt. I'm totally in love with it. There's more of these in my knitting future!

Love the sweater, can't wait to see it on you!

What are you going to do with the cotton angora?

Posted by: Ang at April 12, 2006 12:03 PM

Good luck with the will power.
Please take a picture of you wearing your great pink sweater.

beautiful shade of pink! Your just cranking out the sweaters this year!!

Y'know, I don't feel quite so bad now. Well, actually, I do, but...

I'm in Japan visiting my daughter. I brought 5 patterns, three different yarns and 3 sets of dpns in assorted sizes. I have been working on my S'p'oooza sock for the entire 3 weeks I've been here.

Three yarns x three different size dpns x five different patterns = 19++ different incarnations and not a single sock. :::sighs deeply:::

I've actually been past a heel twice, as far as the heel three other times. I could have finished my Diamond Fantasy Shawl in that time. Could have spun eight skeins on my spindles (I brought three to Japan.) Could have completed my honey's hunting socks.

I have a skein of Fleece Artist and a set of size 1 dpns waiting for me at home. By my reckoning, I'll have two weeks to do the socks.

Aaaaargh.
