at mile 25

It's almost marathon time! We usually watch every year from one of the points in the last couple miles of the course where the route runs through our neighborhood. You can see the buildings where the finish line is downtown, you can yell to the runners that they're almost there, and there's good eats! With the marathon so close, it's easy to start thinking of things in marathon terms. And I'd say that my synchronicity top is just about at mile 25.

The last sleeve is ready to be set in and I've even done the edging on the neck already.

This is exactly the point where Rosie Ruiz would jump in and claim victory!

Go, girl, you're almost there! Pick up those feet-don't stop now!
I love the vibrant color. Gorgeous.

The sweater looks great! I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished. And the colors! I can't get over how great the colors are!

So, you're going to call your pink sweater, finished close to the marathon, your Rosie Ruiz knit, right?

Marathon. Sigh. I never have Patriots' Day off...

My fuchsia side loves that sweater! I am taking Monday off to participate in local festivities by wearing some kind of bizarre costume while spinning (yeah, I'll take pix, I'm too old to embarrass easily), but your way of celebrating sounds great too.

Can't wait to see it all sewn up. Tomorrow??

LOL, Doesn't she still claim she didn't cheat? LOL

Oh, patriot's day. I so miss the fact that the entire state gets the day off so a few really good athletes can run their hearts out. What fun! I always imagined that if I ever ran a marathon (fat chance) I'd love to crash the course and hope that the drunken BU kids will propel me through the last 3 miles. Have fun!

Ahhh... I went to Wellesley and the marathon goes right by campus. I loved getting the whole day off, that was awesome. : )

Sweater looks beautiful!

Love the sweater! I start every day w/my coffee to tune into your site to see what you've whipped up. Now, if you can tell your secret to knitting so quickly, I'd be forever greatful! Tks for the constant pics of projects & the boys!
