The first sock is done! And with the foot part, it finally looks like a knee-high sock and not just some sort of funky sleeve. Rather than waste time by celebrating my accomplishment, I pulled out the other sock, turned the heel, and whipped through the gussets.

Way to go. I like that heel detail to much!
Hooray! You can do it, Alison!
Is this for sockapaloooza?? If so I don't feel so bad now as I am behind! I am on the heel flap of #1, I can do a sock in 3 nights if I give it a ago, so I'm going to finish mine by sunday! Wish me luck!
YAY! I really, really, really love these socks.
The cable you added really compliments the varigated yarn! Go girl!
Hey, you'll make it, I'm sure :)
wauhhhh, these socks are soooo coool .....lucky lucky sockapalooza!
Lovely... & what a lucky sockpal you have!
Oh, very pretty. I like that pattern so much, and would never have thought to make it in a variegated yarn . . . Hmmm . . . .(grin)
Such beautiful socks--and I like the color so much! Now take a deep breath and knit that final toe!
I'm excited about sending my socks off to my sock pal. This has been so much fun, thanks to you Alison and all your helpers.
wow! i mean wow. they are beautiful. such a lucky pal :)
Amazing! Didn't you just rip out and re-do the cabling on one leg? You're sailing right along on these!
Man, I sure wish they were for me, but the odds of that are slim... 1 in 606...
I just love these sox. Wish I had the patience to knit knee high sox. The pattern is great.
Nice socks!
I wore my new nothin' but a T-shirt for the first time today. A high school student even told me it was "cool!" Thanks for the cute design!
Those are very nice!
How do they fit along the leg? I'm curious because there doesn't seem to be much shaping in the pattern. Is it just more subtle than the shaping some other knee sock patterns call for?
They fit great along the leg. There's a lot of decreases in there! (Even more in the original pattern that calls for a longer leg.) Just check out the crazy swirly pooling that the constant change in stitch count caused on the upper part of the leg!
