laurie berkner, anyone?

Sing along...

And I go rolling down the hill

I-I-I'm rolling down the hill
I-I-I'm rolling down the hill
I-I-I'm rolling down the hill

The Wiggles have a song called Rollin' Down the Sand Dunes - you just reminded me of that!

Laurie Berkner, a household staple.

I just got done watching the "We are the Dinosaurs" video on noggin.com for the 12th time today. Good times.

That's so cute. We love Laurie Berkner around here--we bought one of her CDs after seeing her on Noggin, but sadly, the recordings weren't as good as the ones used for the Noggin videos. Still, we love her. Especially the Buzz-buzz bee song! My son is probably a year or two younger than your boys (he'll turn three in June).

I have very similar pictures from Rhinebeck last year. The kids just couldn't resist the hill on the way out.

Laurie Berkner is an old standby on my daughter and husband's Saturday morning radio show, "Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child." They both love playing her, though they've been getting so much new music lately I don't know if they've played her for awhile. They podcast their show and have archives of old shows too available at

I love how her CD (for sale now at Starbucks) has her looking great, and her "band" in some thrown together photos from their video! Sucks to be them.

Great pictures - I remember being a kid & feeling so exuberant that rolling down the hill was the only thing that could express it!!! Your boys sure look like they're having a good time!

My daughter LOVES the pig on my head song - she puts everything on her head and then sings the song. loudly. i wonder if laurie berkner gets her songs stuck in her head and it drives HER crazy???

I went to UCLA for the Festival of Books with a friend today. We stopped to watch the kids who couldn't resist the chance to roll down the grassy hills. We had such a good laugh as we remembered our own childhoods. Ah, to be young.

I came on to comment with my own Laurie B line, but after reading all the ones above, I'm a little scared of us Moms. Am going make them listen to some of MY music this week (in addition to Laurie and Steve of course..)
