My pal, Kate from Germany, was very good to me. I mentioned in my preferences that I've really been wanting knee-highs (I added that any length sock would be fine of course), and she knit me the most perfect pair of knee-highs I could ever imagine. The best colors ever! I love the yarn too - it's from Wolle Rödel, a really cool yarn chain that I've visited in a couple of different German cities. And as luck would have it, it's still rainy and cold here in Boston, so I can wear them today. Hooray!
But wait, there's more.... Kate made me two pairs of knee-highs. I'll give you a moment to think about how many stitches that is.
Awesome blues! And the yarn is Regia. How did I miss this Regia colorway in all my trips to German yarn stores?! Luckily, my pal found it. Because it's so me.
I couldn't have asked for a better pal or better socks. Thank you so much, Kate!

Wow, *two* pairs of incredible identical twins! What a great pal!!
Fantastic! I'd love to see the blue ones with your blue knitted shoe-boots -- wouldn't that be cool? (Or too much knit?)
Those are fabulous! I'm totally envious and now need a pair myself.
Wow! Can I just say that the stitches look so even and fine that the socks seem - dare I say it - storebought! I wish you a lot of fun with them, Alison!
Wow, those are so awesome! I love both pairs, but the top pair especially! I love the wide stripes!
Thoes are amazing! I am on a knee high hunt right now! Does she have a pattern?? That is exactly what I am looking for!
Lucky girl! I especially like the second pair with the cool blues and contrasting trim.
And why shouldn't the host of the Sockapaloooza get spoiled with 2 great pairs! You deserve them, they are beautiful. Top pair is my fave.
Wow! I'm not sure which I prefer, but I know that your feet must be very warm today.
Wow! Those are some awesome socks and one seriously dedicated sock pal! Lucky you! :-) (p.s. I'm starting a summer sock along on my blog if you're interested.)
They're so purdy! If there's a pattern, point the way!

WOW! So cool! And your legs are so cute in them!!!
My mind has melted into a little puddle just from considering the shear number of stitches in those four socks!
Love them! Oh, that is REALLY a lot of a lot of a lot of stiches. You certainly do have an overachieving sock pal!
Wow! Those are really nice and you're a lucky girl! Of course, being the sockapalooza goddess, you deserve it!
Hey, Alison "Pippi" Longstocking! They look great. You are really lucky!
Yay! I'm so relieved that they finally arrived. I was starting to worry a bit. (The socks that my pal Julie knit for me only took 5 days to travel from Oregon to Germany.)
The pattern I used for both pairs was "Pippi Kneestockings" by Theresa V. Stenersen from Debbie Stoller's Stitch 'n Bitch book.
Wow, now that's some kind of great sock pal!
Beautimus!! What a great sock pal.
Awesome socks! Lucky you. :)
Hurray for Kate! What a splendid idea to spoil you with not only one pair of kneestockings but two! They are awesome, all blue and stripey. Who deserves it more than you! Thanks again for a wonderful sock exchange (wait, I haven't got my socks ;-)) and also many thanks to Kate, who did such great job keeping you in the mood for another one. hehe..
Wow! She did a beautiful job.
They're fabulous! And if your Kate is Katje from Germany (where did her blog go?) then she made my socks for the Sockapal2za. And they are my favorite socks. I too dream about knee high socks, but my legs are sooo long that I dare not mention my secret desire - hell, I don't even want to knit them. Lucky lucky girl. Nice job, Kate!
You absolutely deserve it! With all the work you put into the sockapaloozas, and getting ditched by your previous pal, this is a wonderful treat for you. Well done Kate!
Wow!!!! A two-fer, and of knee-highs, to boot!!! You earned those with all the hard work on the sockapaloooza!
Rockin' great socks! Seems a shame to cover them up with pants.
You definitely need to go back to germany to thank that wonderful woman!
Wow! They are bothso gorgeous I can't decide which I like the most!!
Yay! They are really great. I love the socks I got, too, especially since my pal and I became friends over the course of the exchange. Thanks so much for hosting!
WOW. Those are truly fitting socks (in several senses) for the Sockapaloooza Queen. Good on yer!
What a great set of socks you've got there! You deserve them and more!
Gorgeous! I am awed by the socks. That is incredible knitting.
Wow, those are wonderful! I particularly like the second pair.
Pippy Kneestockings, I love it! I have to try a pair for my red-braid-headed child! You deserve such wonderful socks, Alison, thanks again for being our sock queen!
Oh my, they are so lovely! lucky you...that looks like such beatiful work also. Such dedication.
Okay, that settles it... when is the next sockapaloooza?!?!?

Sandy, I'll probably be ready to do another round in the early Fall. It'll take a few months to deal with the late finishers and sock saviors for this one. See you in the fall! :)
Cool, Karola, have fun setting up a blog. Blogger and Blogspot are really easy to get started. And they're free! If you want something fancier, Typepad is excellent. Best of luck!
The pair of socks are very wonderful and the blue and red colors go well together. You did a great job. Congrats!
