pinkies

Crinkle fronts: pink, lacy, and done.

This cardi is starting to look small to me. I tried on a sample at the store a while back that fit me great. Unfortunately, it wasn't labeled. We measured it and guessed that it was a small or a medium. So, given the propensity of cotton to stretch as you wear it, I decided to knit the small size for myself. Well, it certainly is small. I just keep reminding myself that it's not meant to close in the front.

Just the back left to knit! And I'm already starting to dread all that picot edging.

Love, love, love it!!! Can hardly wait to see it finished!

Looks great so far--I'm sure it'll stretch to fit--it's supposed to be pretty form-fitting, anyway, right? Re: picot edging, I just finished Picovoli and actually really enjoyed the picot edging, much more than I thought I would--and I hate finishing more than just about anyone.

but picot edging will look soooo cute...

The more I've handled my washed swatches, the more they seem to grow. Just sayin'.

Add another vote for the "I'm sure it will fit" pile. I thought as I looked through #39 that many of the sweaters seemed shorter than usual; it's a feature on this sweater, though!

Are you going to use a wide ribbon like that on the model?

This is going to be too cute for words!!!!!

It looks like it is going to be short and sweet... remember it is cropped! Can't wait to see the finished product!

I love it -

Your crinkle is so pretty! Picot & lace are like bread & butter. Once you get into the picot rhythm, you love it. Cotton blocks really well - so you'll be able to stretch it. Can't wait to see it on!

you know what? i just went through this too small thing (anthropologie shrug in noro). i would have sworn it was too small. it turned out to be so big that my strapping teenage son can wear it, lol. so give yours a little faith and don't do what i did and knit loosely, lol.

It should be fine since it's not meant to close in the front. I think when knitting Rowan you need to keep in mind that it's English and sizing is smaller than american...I think.

Fluffa recently did pickot edging with a crochet needle and it came out FAB!!!...much nicer than my one attempt with 2 needles. Another possiblity that I one used...is making a row of of chain and folding it over and sewing on the wrong side...it also creates a nice edging.
