I've been seaming and finishing my dye lot disaster, grafting rescue design and in all the try-ons, I didn't once notice the grafting line or even remember to look for signs of it. All's well that ends up well grafted, I say.

check the upcoming July Magknits to see more!

I guess you never know what you can do until you screw something up really bad.

Woo-hoo!

Oh, forgot to include that it looks lovely and if the graft line is in that picture, it's definitely not detectable.

Nanette Blanchard (knittingincolor.blogspot.com) had a great post about this awhile back. She said she knew she was a real knitter when she went to cut a steek and she accidentally cut through both layers of the garment...and she just fixed it. That's a whole new bridge for me to cross (coming soon, I'm sure), but I'm sure it must be satisfying in some weird way.

I think you should make that into some sort of motivational poster a la www.despair.com

:)

Wow, that looks gorgeous. I still haven't mastered grafting to the degree where it's invisible - I think it has something to do with the fact that I get really stressed out by it that it usually takes a couple tries to remember the rhythm of it. =) By that time my tension is miles tighter than the rest of the project.

Impressive! You've got some skill there.

Grafting is my personal version of hell. You are really good at it! I wish I had your gift...
