tuesday is knitalong day

Phew! (Wipes sweat from brow.) I know it doesn't look like much from here, but I'm still hunting down stray socks and sock saviors behind the scenes. Um, if any of you who reported being done knitting haven't sent out your socks yet, please do so now. I've been chasing down finished but unsent socks all week. They aren't going to walk themselves to the post office! ;0)

We have three more finishers this week: Danielle and Mia are done! And Bev received her socks from Connie, who has no blog, so go see them on Bev's blog later today! And if you hold real still, and listen real close, you can hear the clicking of sock savior needles and the smiles of saved pals (like Dorothee who received these socks from Agnes). Go sock saviors!

Just in case you haven't had enough of sock knitting, check out Angela's Crazy Socks Design Competition. The details are in this post in German, but the idea is to be creative and design your own pair of socks, be they crazy, normal, men's, women's, kids', wool, cotton, whatever. Think up something new, send in your design to Angela and then everyone gets to vote on the best. The winner gets a prize! Leave a note for Angela on the blog if you're interested. I'm sure she'd be happy to post the details in English if there's interest.

I received my socks from sock savior Erin over the weekend!

I received an email from Jennifer in Barcelona that she has received my socks. I don't know if she ever updated her profile, but she did confirm that the second sock package I sent her arrived. I posted to my blog that it was received.

Hooray! Hooray for Erin, hooray for Sharon. Oooh, that rhymes. :D

I'm almost finished with my savior socks! Wil have them out by tomorrow!

Hooray for all the finishers!
Alison, when are you initiating the Sock-a-pal-fourza? I bet everyone wants to join in again!!

People, Lene hasn't even gotten her socks yet and she's asking about sockapal4za, isn't that great!?

I'm hoping that I'll be ready to start up another round in the Fall, sometime after the boys get settled in school. Mark your calendars!

I got mine and just managed to post about them (my post is sad, because it was eaten by the Blog Grue the first two times) today!

I am curious about sockapal4za too ... it's fun knitting for another person far far away. And if you still need more sock savior, I think I can help too. :)

Did you get my note that I finished the socks for Karen? She should get them any day now.

I'm having trouble with my tendonitis. But I can knit s l o w l y. If you need another sock savior let me know. This is too fun for anyone to be left out.

Alison,
I have yet to receive a pair of socks, but if you need a sock savior I have a couple of pairs that I have been working on that I can donate to those in need. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Laura

I sent my sock savior sox yesterday--though I kinda wanted to keep them, they were nice (and blue!) I decorated some flip flops for her too, put knitted flowers on the toes--so when its too hot for socks you STILL can have handknits for your feet! Fun swap!

Just an update: Ina, my Sock Pal, and I have had a little mishap. She mailed my socks over two weeks ago, but I never received them. I even questioned our mailman at length about packages he might have missed. He didn't appreciate it at all! I wrote to Ina and told her my feet are cold, and bless her heart she said she will knit another pair. But, to date, I am sockless--unless you count the 43 pairs I have in my sock drawer. Sockapaloooza sockless anyway!
