you can never have too many weasleys

In honor of my weasley sweater pattern being posted on the Leaky Cauldron's new Craft pages (isn't that a cool idea?!), I've started another weasley.

I'm fiddling around with the gauge of my original pattern and am treating myself to some fabulous Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran Tweed (in the perfect blue - just like the sweater Harry gets in the movie!). I'm really enjoying knitting this one so far. The pattern is so familiar to me now that knitting it is like visiting with an old friend again.

And in other Harry Potter news, I hear that Dani, of Sunshine Yarns and the fabulous self-striping Gryffindor sock yarn, has come up with some new Harry Potter colorways. She's done all the dragons and a Hedwig! Cool, cool, cool. I can't wait to see them when she posts them tomorrow!

Congrats on being included on Leaky's craft page! When they put it up recently, I went to see what was there there, and was disappointed because there wasn't much yet. I have been meaning to try a Weasley sweater (all I've done so far is a Gryffindor scarf for my daughter's Hermione costume), and I'll check out your pattern. Love the yarn you're using!

That is a cool thing!

I made an A and an E Weasley this past year. Both were much fun to make, look great and actually get worn! And parents always nod sagely when I tell them that Molly Weasley made her kids sweaters like that.

I made a Knitty penguin out of some leftover Weasley yarn... with an initial, of course!

I want to make a Weasley for myself and one for each boy. Yours is looking really nice! I'd also like to make Hermione hat and mittens for myself, too!

I really like these Weasleys. Eventually I will give in to their siren call, but in the meanwhile I'll enjoy yours! xox,

Karin, do you mean Dani's yarn? Just go to her etsy site - the one I linked to in the post - and the yarn should be there tomorrow morning!

Congratulations on the Leaky Cauldron link--that is such a great site, isn't it?

Your yarn is such a gorgeous colour!
I really want to make one of those Weasley's but I have so very many projects on the go and lining up...when will I find the time?

Meanwhile I like to see what you have made. Vicariously satisfying.
