Are you getting ready? Sockapalooza 4 has a new button! That's all I've had time to do so far (I am in design work crunch right now and it just won't stop), but in another week or two, I should be able to start getting organized. Keep an eye on the sidebar for details and updates!
I haven't knit socks in ages and am so excited about getting back into it! I even picked up some Yarn for Sox for socks for poor neglected hubby at this morning's Wild & Wooly semi-annual clearance sale.
Hubby may have been neglected in the last few months as far as knitting goes, but his socks haven't! Check out the heels on his last pair of Yarn for Sox socks.
I made these for him back in 2002, because he loves wearing thick socks over regular socks when it's cold. He still wears these, even without heels. And why not, they're in way better shape than the Peace Fleece socks from 2004.

sockapalooza 4
,
where are they now?
Wooohoo! I'm so in when the signups open! Yayayayayayay!
But seriously, take it easy, you're growing a baby on top of everything else, and that is hard work in itself. Don't overdo it!±
I am so totally up for this. Last time around my sock pal said such lovely things about her socks, you have never seen an ego roll over and purr with such brazen abandon, and... I'm in! Or will be at the first possible moment.
Oh yeah! Sockapalooza 4. This will be 4 for four for me. (Say that four times fast...) I can't wait. :)
I would love to participate this year. I've heard such great things about Sockapalooza. :) Thought I'd jump in now, if possible, or as soon as possible. Thanks, Alison!
awesome! i never have particpated in the past either so I'm also up to join! Now that's a sign of love - those heel-less socks!
Very exciting! I've read through people's archives about the other swaps, and I'm excited to be around (finally) for this one!
Yay! I can't wait, since Sockapaloooza was so much fun :)
You're gonna be one busy mommy!
Hooray! I missed Sockapalooza in the past and I felt kind of sad about it. I can't wait to participate if I can.
Take your time. We understand. I've always missed out on Sockapalooza, and I think I'd like to join in this time.
OOO I can't wait. Those are some VERY well loved socks.
Yay! Can't wait. What great sock durability!
Ooooohh!!! Sockapalooza 4! I can't wait to join in this time. You are a Wonder, woman--getting this whole thing together AND expecting?!? All I can think of is WOW...and take care of yourself.
Very excited, very excited!
Yeah! Can't wait! Did you see about the bank that shutdown the sock-yarn-selling people (or tried to)!

It seems all the boys in your life love your handknits, like the unravelling blanket. I love the colors you chose too, very masculine and look great.
I would love to join....but I am not sure I could finish....With a new baby my knitting is sloooooow.
How long a time frame?
His socks look like my husband's! He's semi-patiently waiting for some worksocks. He wears his over regular socks, too, holes and all.
Well, at least you know your handknits are well loved!
I'm so glad you're going to take the plunge with Sockapalooza again! It was a lot of fun last time.
You know, I thought I wouldn't participate in any more of these, but I was just commenting on how good it feels, when someone asks if I knit the socks on my feet, to get to say "No, I didn't. Somebody else knit them for me! Someone in San Francisco (or Pennsylvania, or England) knit them for me. Someone I've never even met. And then I get to tell them about the Sockapalooza exchanges.
I treasure the socks that I've received through these exchanges and have enjoyed the challenges asscociated with knitting for my pals.
So, I guess that means I'll be watching for the sign ups again.
Love the Sockapalooza button - not sure if I'll participate (I worry about making socks to fit someone other than myself or grandkids).
Looking forward to it! But seriously, take care. You have a lot on your plate at the moment.
Socks? Socks? Did someone say socks? Yay! I like socks.
Can't wait, but will wait because, quite honestly, I didn't think you'd have time for it this winter/spring. I'm raising my hand to assist with "sock sister" duties if you're looking for some extra help. Glad to do it.
I did sockapalooza 2 and enjoyed it, so I'm in again this time.I'm going to have to revive my blog. BTW, do you darn your socks? If so, what's the best way? It's a shame to throw those socks away!
Those are some much loved socks! I am thrilled to see how much your family loves the handknits - they are used so regularly they wear out. What a wonderful thing.
Sockapalooza eh? Somehow I do not know much about this. I am intrigued.
I'd like to join. I have loads of sock yarn from SIL and i'm looking to do something in the commute again...Gil's cardi, is home project only right now.
