where are they now: jess

Remember ol' jess, which I knit for my mother but she didn't end up liking the fit of? At the beginning of my pregnancy, I was looking forward to wearing it as a maternity sweater and now it's just perfect!

I wear it all the time. I have a couple of other sweaters that are still big enough for me to fit into (all store-bought sweaters from the big sweater era of the 90's!) but this is the only sweater that doesn't make me feel all bulky and big and blechy. The shape is more like a shawl than a some tent-like sweater and the cotton angora is light but still cozy warm.

I'm so glad that jess finally found her calling!

I'm so happy to see Jess come out of the closet! I've always admired this sweater in your archive ;)

It looks so cozy and comfy! And it's very flattering. I love how your belly pokes out! (How often does one get to say THAT in a positive way?!)

The sweater looks great on you. I love that pattern but was put off about the yarn based on bad reviews that I saw online. Did you enjoy working with it?

I do like the yarn Jocelyn, but I can see why some people don't. There was a lot of fluff up the nose while I was knitting with it and it sheds quite a bit while wearing. So it's not ideal, but I don't mind it. If I were to make the sweater again though, I'd probably pick something more standard like Cashmerino Aran or something like that.

You do NOT look all big and blechy--regardless of how you feel. You look awesome and stylish!

It really looks comfy. btw, you really don't look all bulky and big and blechy...considering you are like week 36 already or so.

What a great sweater for the baby to stay warm in! (and you too!)

Looks amazing!! It fits you so perfectly now and you are right, its hard to find something when you are pregnant that doesn't look tent-ish. Nice.

Hey - I love a gift that gives back. It looks wonderful and very comfortable. It should be comforting to wear, as well.

You might feel big and blechy but you sure don't look it! You look adorable, cutely preg, and not even that big! But yes... WeeOne is looking quite low. Thanks for the sidebar update about S'pooza. I'm sure it'll be a big'n! Take care and gets lots of rest. :)
