learning my lesson

After finding myself this weekend with some time to knit and a knitting bag without yarn, I've learned my lesson and have repacked said knitting bag with not one, but two, balls of red yarn. Work on the hugs and kisses sweater can now continue.

Since this is my knit-when-I-can project, who knows when the thing will actually be finished. With a new baby and book signings and the end of school coming up, I'm just shooting for getting it done for sweater weather. No more deadline knitting for me for a while - last year was nuts!

The sweater...fabulous! And the book....fantastic! I can't wait to get something on the needles...maybe Mrs. Weasley's bag?

Can you remind me where the pattern for the hugs and kisses sweater is from?

I love the bold red colour!

I love that sweater - what yarn are you using?

That same thing happened to me and it is so aggravation - there we were at a friends house, the toddler was occupied. Such a terrible fate for a knitter.

Book signings? I am still trying to rearrange my day to get to the post office where they are keeping my book Hostage! Do tell about book signings!

Just check the archive (the link is next to the time stamp) for pattern and yarn details).

Book signing info is in the sidebar under charmed knits... keep scrolling.... ;0)

I recieved my Charmed Knits yesterday. I LOVE IT!! Thanks so much for getting all the HP items together. I can't wait to make Hermoine's hat & mittens (and I can't even cable yet!LOL)

The sweater looks great.

Is it possible that sweater is even cuter in red? Adorable!

Nothing like one of those experiences to get you to add an extra ball of yarn to the bag. Knitting without deadlines is wonderful. There is so much time for Sockapalooza that it hardly feels like deadline knitting.

I love the sweater, very cool and very red (both very good things).
And I agree, deadlines are terrible!

That sweater looks so adorable! I just got your book and I wanted to gush about how much I love it! I don't know what to cast on first! :)

I also think dead line knitting takes the fun away. Can you make me a hugs and kisses for my size :-D [wink, wink]

Lovely sweater! That's a great red.

I've a question for you: I've emailed my sock pal (the one I'm knitting for) several times, and have sent her an ecard. However, I've not received ANY response at all...the ecard hasn't even been opened. I'm using a sockpalooz-y gmail account just for this purpose...and I tried to make it obvious that it was from her pal, so it wouldn't get deleted as spam.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jacqui

Great sweater. Colour and pattern excellent. Liked your last post too. Babies and knitting. What a struggle. Amazed you can get your little one to sleep in the stroller. A trick I haven't managed.

Book Signings! Yeah!

Posted by: xtina at May 9, 2007 12:25 PM

so.. what did you decide to sign?

Posted by: thea at May 9, 2007 7:27 PM

I agree, deadline knitting is the worst! I've been up til midnight the past two nights trying to finish a Mother's Day gift.
