smally dolly

Look at how adorably small this dolly bag is!

It's only about 2/3 as big as my shoe. Because it's so small, I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of this bag - maybe it could hold a wee baby knitting project -, but can't you just see a little toddling wee one playing with it in a year or two?

She can put all her teeny treasures in there. Awwww....

Aww, it's all about the bags and the shoes Wee One!

Posted by: Johanna at June 28, 2007 9:21 AM

Oh goodness, every picture of her she's MORE adorable! I bet she will love to play with that bag when she's older.

Posted by: Lauren at June 28, 2007 9:53 AM

Wee one is getting so big and round! She looks like she'd be happy to flail the bag around sooner than you think!

Posted by: Ruth at June 28, 2007 9:54 AM

Oh yeah, she's going to have fun with that, and in less than a year, I'll bet! ;-) Looks like she wants to reach out and play with it right now...

She is so cute! Ah, the bag obsession begins.

Posted by: Sarah at June 28, 2007 10:05 AM

That is too cute! My daughter is 1 1/2 and loves to carry around purses...or try to wear them on her head.

Posted by: Lisa at June 28, 2007 10:11 AM

Alison - she's getting so big!! Adorable.

Posted by: Bookish Wendy at June 28, 2007 10:31 AM

aw, she's so cute! look at those big eyes :)

Posted by: gleek at June 28, 2007 10:33 AM

what a precious bag ... your little cutie is going to love that really soon (every little girl that I know loves to have a purse for their treasures!)

Posted by: Heddy at June 28, 2007 10:51 AM

SHE IS SO CUTE!!! that picture is just too much! i can just see her in a year or two swinging that bag around with the essentials every toddler will need: strawberry lip balm, dolly, crayons, paper, and of course, a knitting project! :o)heehee!

Posted by: kelpkim at June 28, 2007 11:00 AM

What a cute shot of the baby and the bag...I've had my Rowan kit since this Feb and haven't knit it yet. I'm very surprised to see how small the finished object is.

Posted by: Judy at June 28, 2007 11:23 AM

Wee One gets cuter and cuter each time I pop on here! Fluffy cheeks, big blue eyes..sOoO cute

she will love that bag in about a year..teetering along putting whatever in there..

Posted by: Jenny at June 28, 2007 11:30 AM

She'll be dragging it around in no time. My son insisted that I knit him a purse when he was five and carried it around everywhere (fortunately, I made it in beige and blue and dark green, rather than pink, so it wasn't noticeably strange).

Sweet sweet baby! And I love the little purse. Is it your own pattern or available somewhere? When you have a baby person, purses tend to need to be larger! But I'd use it when I didn't have to carry more than the basics. :O) Enjoy baby and baglet! samm

Posted by: samm at June 28, 2007 12:03 PM

Love it, should be what every fashionable baby carries in their car seats and strollers.

Posted by: Sonya at June 28, 2007 1:03 PM

That's a cute lil purse. And I love her expression!

Posted by: Amy at June 28, 2007 1:37 PM

Oh my gosh, that's beyond cute! :-) And wee one gets more adorable every day!

Posted by: Mary at June 28, 2007 1:47 PM

She is SOOOOOOOO cute!!!! :-D

Posted by: ruth at June 28, 2007 1:52 PM

Awwwww....how sweet! Though if you made that up in another color with some beads, it'd be a great evening bag - just big enough for a lipstick and a cell phone, it looks like.

Posted by: Kathy at June 28, 2007 3:51 PM

What a gorgeous baby.

Posted by: Kris at June 28, 2007 4:05 PM

Teach her to accesorize early! The bag accentuates her outfit!

Posted by: Christina at June 28, 2007 4:18 PM

Oohh... She is so cute! The bag too.

Posted by: Tusa at June 28, 2007 5:51 PM

I love that bag. Because of it, I almost signed up for its membership. Thanks goodness that temptation is gone. :)

I just bought your book tonight. I must admit I was skeptical, maybe one or two interesting projects I assumed. A lot of bloggers are writing books these days and while they are very good none of them make me want to do just about EVERY project. Which is rare anyway. BUT, your book is wonderful and I am so glad I bought it. Also it was my something nice for myself after finding out that my hard drive is a goner and none of the pictures and such can be retrieved. Your book has really helped taken a little of the tears away. As will the yarn for my first couple of projects will tomorrow. Thank you Thank you and to all your other designers...Thank you! I think I am going to make a couple of the hats, then the wand case and am contemplating upping the cape for my 3 year old, who isn't totally aware of Harry yet. Also, I love your blog. I always cheer when it makes my bloglines go bold! And congrats on your precious one!

Baby fever over here.

Posted by: peggy at June 29, 2007 1:02 AM

Oh I can surely see that. I also love the color and the texture of the bag.
Wee one is too darn cute.

soon I'll know what I'm having...

Posted by: Orli at June 29, 2007 1:59 AM

So adorable. I love when people take the time to make pretty things. Your daughter will love playing with it when she's older! She may love chewing on it now. =)

Posted by: carrie at June 29, 2007 8:58 AM

I've said it before, but with such a cute baby around, how do you get so much knitting done?

She looks like she's trying to say, "you know, Mom,I really need a nice sweater to go with this for the fall..."

Posted by: Dava at June 29, 2007 9:02 AM

Awwww - she's so cute - makes one just want to squeeze her & kiss those chubby cheeks! And she looks very comfortable with that adorable bag!

Posted by: Sarah at June 29, 2007 5:20 PM

Adorable!!
Toddlers love little bags. All the better to hoard treasure.
Clever Mom, you are.

Posted by: Miss Scarlett at June 29, 2007 9:26 PM

How adorable! It looks so small next to your shoe, and so large with your DD holding it!

Posted by: Lynds at June 30, 2007 1:50 PM

She is getting SO big!

Posted by: Libby at June 30, 2007 6:17 PM

Oh my goodness!! Too cute. You know that you're starting her on a very bad habit?! What a good mom you are :)

Posted by: Jenn at June 30, 2007 9:33 PM

Lovely bag, why dont you use it now, slip it in your diaper bag with a few of her fave small toys, then you get the pleasure of using it (and showing it off) and she will grow up loving it!
