guess who's coming to rhinebeck?

Wee one! And she should be sporting a new sweater! I just got the yarn...

It's KnitPicks Swish Superwash for a baby Pinwheel Sweater. I'm so excited about this project. It can be my go-to project when my own Rhinebeck sweater has issues. Which it's having now, so let's cast on for the pinwheel sweater, shall we?! Hee, hee.

Beautiful colors! You have an eye for mixing palettes.

Yum!

I just love the colors you picked! They are so vivid! How does the Swish feel? I've been considering some for a sweater for my son.

That's going to be gorgeous!

Too funny, I'm waiting for delivery of my Swish for the same sweater! I like your colors, wish I could remember what I picked. Sadly for me, I think my yarn will arrive *after* the long weekend.

Love the colors and the pattern. They are fabulous - what a wonderful collection. I can't wait for Rhinebeck myself. We are taking a bus trip from the LYS!!

Love the colors. They are MY colors!! I've been tempted to do the adult version but not sure how it would look. I'll keep watch for your baby version.

I'm just finishing my pinwheel now. LOVE this pattern! I didn't do the loop edge, I did a large ruffle and think it's so cute. Next one I won't do so much ribbing on the sleeve either. Your colors will look great. You won't use much yarn of the first few colors. Have fun with it!

What a cool pattern, and I adore the colors you picked! Can't wait to see this one working up!

I love the pinwheel sweater. I did the loop edge and it seemed to take FOREVER. Now I'm stuck on the sleeves. I had to rip one out and I just don't have the stamina to do it again right now. Maybe once the weather gets colder and I know my daughters need a sweater they can share....

yikes...another reason to buy yarn! :)

Posted by: Erica at August 31, 2007 4:23 PM

Ooh I can't wait to see it!!!!!

Posted by: Kim at August 31, 2007 4:27 PM

oooh, I want to make one of those sweaters! I'm excited to watch your progress! I love the colors you chose, I picked similar colors for the Airy Fairy doll I'm making for a friend's baby.

Have you used Swish Super before? I have heard it isn't so 'super wash'...but I have honestly never used it, and was wanting to use it on an upcoming project....if you have an opinion on it's care...can you let me know? Great Colors by the way and I love that pattern!

I did some Googling after I read your post yesterday. That pattern is so cool that I wanted to see what others had made from it. Yours will be so pretty! Great color choices and I would imagine you will have a lot of yarn leftover for accessories or whatnot.

Lovely colours!

Okay I'm a bit slow on this but just realised that you were the awesome person behind Charmed Knits! I just only saw a review today and I'm reading the final book and kudos to you for such a brilliant idea!

I wish to get my hands on the book soon =) because well...one can never have enough of Harry Potter and anything to keep the magic alive init?

Bravo!!

Those colors are gorgeous! BEWARE, though - Swish SHRINKS IN THE WASH, and you'll get no sympathy from KnitPicks about it, either.
