where are they now: baby bear hat

This was wee S, almost five years ago in the little bear hat I made him from Zoe Mellor's Double Knits book , one of the first knitting books I ever got - in fact, hubby bought this for me the first Christmas after the boys were born. Awwww. Well, guess who's wearing the bear hat now?

Wee one! Who, by the way, is nowhere near as wee as S and B were - she's 8 months old and he was a year and a half when he wore this hat. Yes, our so-called wee one has simply outgrown all the little hats I've made for her, so until I get some new ones on the needles, if I want her ears to be covered, it's gotta be boys' hand-me-downs. I love this one on her though. Those little pink ears are so adorable! And on her grumpy days maybe she can wear B's tiger hat - hee hee.
And speaking of fun baby hats, have you heard that Susan B. Anderson of Itty-Bitty Hats and Itty-Bitty Nursery is coming to Black Sheep Knitting in Needham for a trunk show and book signing?! (She's doing a whole east coast book tour this week - you can check out this post on her blog to see if she's coming to your town and LYS.) Come on Boston-area knitmoms, you know that the cutest hats you've ever made for your kids are from Susan's book, so come on out Monday night to see her! See ya there!
Update: Susan Anderson's trunk show and book signing at Black Sheep Knitting is going to be on Monday from 1pm to 3pm, and NOT later in the evening as previously appeared on her blog.

,
where are they now?
Wow! Eight months already! How quickly the time flies!
With those photos in such close proximity, you can definitely see the family resemblance between Wee one and the boys... adorable :)
I met her when she came to Texas recently. She is about the nicest lady ever--and all her stuff for the trunk show was absolutely adorable...
I love the bear hat! That's so cool that you get to see Susan Anderson. I love her books! I need to go see if she's coming to my 'hood.
Oh my g-d...if I didn't just read your post I would think the photos were of the same baby!!!
She's probably "big" because she didn't have to share a womb.
It's heartwarming to see such a healthy (NOT FAT) baby.
I love hats and snowsuits with ears. They're just the cutest.
Your wee one is a little bit older than my wee one... my youngest is 8 months on Nov. 20 :-) I have three teens as well...strange enough I never knitted any hats for them, but did for my youngest. I guess things change with time :-)
Am also looking forward to Sockapalooza 5 :-)
She is really starting to look like her brothers, as much as a little sister can, anyway :-).

I've never heard of anyone who's got that book! did you knit anything else from it? I knitted the stripy sweater (very colourful one) and made my eldest a skirt to go with it which had loads of exactly the same colours - pure coincidence. It was one of my favourite sweaters I ever knitted for her.
Sooooooooooooooooooo Cute.. :) I love knitting hats for all the children I care for(I work as a Nanny) All the children get hats from me they never run out LOL!
double knits was my first knitting book too, my husband bought it for me for christmas the first year we were married. I was quite impressed that he choose it himself. I've made the aran sweater, the stripey sweater and the inca hat. I would still like to make the duffle coat for my new lttle one but it has acres of seed stitch, ugh!
