and then there were none

First wee one over the weekend, then daddy, then mommy, then big brother B and finally yesterday, big brother S succumbed to the stomach virus that's been going around. I gave him a little company by relapsing again and have spent the last 24 hours on the couch. I'd almost forgotten that we have a computer in the house - or a refrigerator full of food, for that matter!

Back on the mend, I'm getting around to unpacking from my weekend trip, doing all the laundry (that's stomach virus laundry - yuck!) and when those are done, organizing a few sewing projects. I got some fabric on the trip - can't wait to show you.....

We've had it too--it took us all a week to get over it. Hang in there!

It's sure been going around. Very hard when tiny ones get sick and you're a mommy and a sickie at the same time. Get better wishes are coming atcha.

Hope you are all on the mend. I had it Monday and Tuesday.

Both my little one and I had that nasty bug. It put us both out of commission for some time, so I feel your pain (and stomach cramps). Can't wait to see the fabric!

I feel your pain! I've been sick since the 4th!

Oh!!

I'm so sorry! Get better soon. :)

Oh dear, oh dear! I understand so well. DH just started with the stomach thing about an hour ago. I would love to avoid it, but there isn't much chance of that happening. Be well!

Oh, I am so sorry for your illness - my daughter & her family had it a couple of weeks ago. Started with Baby M & the 4 year old then quickly thereafter Mommy. She called Daddy who had just boarded a plane for San Francisco (where his company is headquartered) to warn him. Right after that he threw up in the plane restroom (think about that feat). Then the 6 year old (who never gets sick even when all around him are) got it. And then the baby & the 4 year old (who had recovered after about 24-36 hours) got sick again, My daughter called to apologize if we got it (we had been there babysitting the day before bedlam broke out). We felt mildly queasy & tired & achey but nothing like what they had. One of the good things about getting old - you've been exposed to so many viruses that, if you do catch one, it's usually a mild form.

Get well soon.

I used to hug babies in the hospital.

If you hug children, they get better faster.

I held my eight month old all day and he did get better super fast.

Oh, I am so, so sorry! There's nothing worse than a stomach bug. I hope you're all feeling better now.

Oh yeah, it's the season for all kind of crap viruses and bacterias. Our family's had them all this winter, at least it feels so.

Hope you recover and can enjoy life more!

It got us all, too, one after another. I think it's called "Norovirus," special for us knitters! Take care of yourself - it comes back if you jump out of bed too soon, not that there's much choice with 3 kids to take care of, right?

Posted by: Mary K. in Rockport at January 19, 2008 9:07 AM

oh no! sorry to hear you're all illin'. you know, i got the peanut the rotovirus vaccine so i wonder if she'll ever get it or not. hhmmmm..

Posted by: gleek at January 19, 2008 11:05 AM

Posted by: mari at January 19, 2008 11:59 AM
