a day off

Oh yes, the boys have the day off from school. According to our school district it's a "day of low attendance" (due to Rosh Hashanah), so they just give us the day off. Which means moms like me are looking for something to do with their kids all day. Today, we chose the aquarium. (Gotta come up with something for next Thursday....)

wee one said "oooohhhh" each time she spotted a fish

Despite the fact that the boys have only been in school for a total of 6 hours in the last 4 days and have been trapped inside because of the rain most of the other hours, I did manage to restart the ill-fated baby shedir hat.

It fits now and I'm loving the cables, so I'm not even going to go back and fix that little goof in the cable near the beginning (please tell me you can't see it!).

Man, could I use a day off.

Can't see it ;)

Argh... this is like Where's Waldo! I just spent 10 minutes examining the hat photo trying to find the cable goof!

See what??? it looks perfect!

I felt like I HAD to find the cable goof since you mentioned it. (Sorry, found it... I think...)

I love the aquarium. Wish I could have a day off to go, too!

If I tell you I can't find the error, will that make it go away?

We call those bogus "Administrative Days at school the Teachers Playing Naked Days. That makes it less painful to have to entertain bored kids. Can't you see them runing thru the halls singing "it's Teachers Playing Naked Day, doo-dah, doo-dah!"?

I can't see it. And I have an excellent eye for these things.

WHO ARE THOSE ENORMOUS BOYS?!

I see no error. But if *you* do, you know what you have to do. ;)

I wouldn't have noticed except that you mentioned it and therefore I *had* to find it. Sorry - it's my duty as an auditor. It looks great though! I love the way the cables pop in that yarn!

Nope can't see it!

OH MY! How those boys have grown!! Wow!

It's Eid today too! Sometimes I really wish there were holidays for atheists...

My kids had yesterday off, for an interminable three-day weekend, and today the older one stayed home sick. Of course he's fine. I think he just needed to mess with my schedule!

I can't see it!

And when it's traveling at toddler-speed on wee one's head, nobody will ever notice it!

Posted by: Pam at September 30, 2008 5:12 PM

I can't see it, but if it bothers you maybe you could duplicate stitch over it? Beautiful work (kids and knitting!).

I realized that even though I read regularly, I rarely ever comment anymore. Sorry. Now that school has started, I'm usually cruising through the dozen or so blogs that I still read in a quick shot while I eat my lunch. I LOVE your quilting. You are doing an amzaing job!
Those kids are growing so quickly. I think I've been reading since the boys were 3 or 4. Every time I see them playing like they're such good buddies, it makes me wish that I had been able to have twins!

That looks great! I don't see the goof!

Love the baby Shedir. Had to look for the "design feature", too. I've knit a couple Shedirs and LOVE the pattern. You're boys are so lucky to get handmade costumes!

Wee One's wonder is wonderful.
