proof that the boys have watched way too much game show network

After I told them to turn the tv off, they set up a 52-card game of Card Sharks in their room. I heard them upstairs yelling "lower than the Queen, higher than the five..." just like in the real show.

Oh, please let this rain stop so we can go outside again.

I love that game!! Your kids always entertain themselves in the best ways and with out the tv. Maybe they could show my kids how to do it? :)

Hah, that's great!

I loved Card Sharks when I was a kid. I'd totally play with them.

We did let our son out yesterday. He and two of the boys in the neighborhood made a "mud slide" near the brook across the street. Good times. I was inside switching over the summer for winter clothes--and did not see the result of the mud slide until he was already heading into the shower. Boys **rolling eyes**

The problem with tv is not that it's not educational; it's that it's TOO educational.

I'm always really careful about what my kids watch. One day, my then-six-year-old asked me about "that show we watched where the guy got his head cut off by a knife." I was speechless. Imagine my horror when I realized he was talking about the murder of Daniel Pearl, the reporter who was kidnapped and executed by terrorists, whose execution he saw on THE NEWS!

thank you for the video clip.
Thank heavens the boys have to go to school to take a break from Card Sharks.
