is that.... yarn?

Finally, my Lana Grossa yarn has arrived from Germany so I can finish knitting my Rebecca sweater! Oma tossed in some candy and magazines for the boys (along with some socks we apparently forgot there), which, sadly, are all getting a lot more love than the yarn right now. It took almost a month for the box to arrive, which means that I'm now in Halloween costume sewing crunch and can't spare a minute to knit. I've got batman boots to sew, shark fins to attach and lots of other fiddly bits all to finish up before Friday.

So knitting will resume. Next week. (Stay tuned this week for Halloween updates every day! The kids are loving it!)

I'm with you on the Halloween costume blitz! I tried to sew the shark costume last week at my daughter's but the baby was just too interested in the sewing machine for me to safely get any sewing done. But I did finish the silvery wings for middle grand to add to the dinosaur costume from last year to turn it into a dragon & got the shark cut out (a myriad of pieces - way more than the dinosaur costume from last year). I sewed the tail & fin & attached them to the back - now just sew sleeves in & long body seams & hood. Hopefully I'll finish today.

I am so glad the yarn finally showed up! But, I have to say, I was immediatly drawn to the MARs bars...Can I have one? I LOVE them! I haven't seen one in years. Happy sewing on the boys costumes!!

Halloween is so fun! It's right up there with Christmas for my favorite time of the year. Must be the fact that I'm really just an overgrown kid!

Your kids' costumes are coming along so adorably! My mom always made our costumes when we were little, and it's the best thing in all of my Halloween memories. I'm sure your littles love it, too!
