Love the yarn! I just bought the Unique Sheep Gradience Sock yarn in the Joy colorway (http://www.simplysockyarn.com/servlet/Detail?no=3069) & am waiting for it to arrive. I suspect we're all craving bright cheery colors (I know it's made worse for me by having spent over a week in Palo Alto where spring arrives much earlier - lots of flowers everywhere).
Alison - meant to ask you - did you knit the Twirly Skirt in the round? The pattern calls for knitting front & back & then sewing together but I'd like to knit it in the round (hate seaming) & wonder if there's any reason not to.
Very nice and deserving treats to you !!!
Yes, Donna, I knit the twirly skirt in the round. I just doubled the stitches to be cast on for each side and joined and knit every round. There are some eyelet holes on the front for the drawstring to be pulled through which you can work in in the round (I left them out on mine because I used elastic in the waist).
Thanks Alison - glad to see it turned out so well. I'll dig through my bins of Cotton Fleece to see if I have colors that will look cute in this skirt. I love the colors you used (but then I am a big fan of pinks & purples).
Love the colors of the yarn. What could you make with such little skeins?
I just treated myself to some Sunshine Yarns, too - my favorites are Dani's Harry Potter colors, but I couldn't resist the Twilight - got Alice and Jacob this time. There's a Sunshine Yarns KAL through April on the Sunshine Yarnies group on Ravelry -
Cool, Kate, thanks for the KAL info!
I think I can see a twirly skirt in red, orange and yellow for Wee One's newest dolly...
I want to treat myself to new yarn, but it is unfortunately going to wait for at least a couple more weeks! So sad, but I have a huge project that I can't dally on! (And yarn buying almost always equals me dallying as I cast on for something new...)
A marvel comic's version of Pride & Prejudice? I love it! Have you seen the Bollywood version of it? Bride & Prejudice? My hubby and I are addicted. We watch it at least once a week....
