After a little dry spell of inspiration, I finally found something that moved me to pick up the knitting needles again.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the knitting so far. The stockinette was lovely - I do so enjoy a good eight or nine inches of stockinette! The lace pattern is delightful: simple but with a striking result. And I'm having fun. It's so good to be back knitting again.

It looks like a great start!
This is one of my favorite sweaters to wear out of all the ones I've made for myself. A definite winner!
Beautiful sweater! Have you tried using ravelry to find more yarn? I've had luck finding matching colors (and dyelots even) when I ran short on a particular yarn. Good luck!
Hey Teach is next in my queue, too - for my daughter, though. First I must finish the Hogwarts sweater from your book - for just a one year old, so it should go quickly. It's cute. Should I send you a photo?
really love the colorway of the sweater its gorgeous
i really love the pattern
wish you luck in seeking out more yarn to finish the sweater
I love how the ribbing blends into the lace pattern. It's always a bit of a pet peeve of mine when the elements don't blend one from the other (not that I fix it... I just make something else instead).
Did you ever finish the pink and orange stripe sweater with the big sleeves...? Loved it and was dying to see the FO.
I had forgotten how pretty that is & I agree with Seanna Lea about how the ribbing flows into the lace. You could also try posting an ISO post on the Yahoo KnitSwap list. It's pretty active & it probably offers your best chance (short of a Rowan group) for finding the needed yarn.
I'm not on Twitter, but I just wanted to say that I LOVED the Willoughby's. It was so off-the-wall and funny--I love everything that author has done, but this is NOTHING like anything else she's ever written.
I have been thinking of starting this sweater...thanks for the inspiration
School book fairs are great. We once scored complete boxed sets of "Little House on the Prairie" and "Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle," the funniest books for boys or girls, ever.
I'm making the very same thing (except for the yarn.) I just started the front.
Yours is a lovely color and looks great. Glad you were inspired again!
Pretty! The lace pattern is gorgeous! Way to go!
I was searching online for another Rowan yarn and happened to come across this - I think it's what you are looking for if you haven't found any.
