where are they now? seriously, where are they?

We're just back from a fabulous weekend in NYC visiting Grandma. We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and went to the Top of the Rock, which has the best views of New York City that I've ever seen. And since we were already at Rockefeller Center, we had to stop in at the new Lego store there.

Rockefeller Center in Legos
The boys scored some awesome NYC legos.

Before our big weekend in the Big Apple, we putted around Boston.

The boys had been wanting to visit this Boston themed mini-golf course for weeks, so despite the over 90 degree heat wave, we trudged out to the utterly shade-less Village Green to hit some balls and lose about 10% of our body weight.
Meanwhile, the boys have been preparing for our annual trip to Germany by going to German camp. After a month of following the German team during the World Cup and now two weeks of German language class, they're psyched to go.

Wee is preparing for Germany by learning how to wipe herself after going potty. Apparently, hubby is planning to take a vacation from that while we're there.
Just two weeks and we're off. So stay tuned: vacation 2010 is coming! This year with added attractions!

vacation 2010
I guess this time you are like always, nowhere near the northern part of Germany aren't you? Have a nice and safe trip :)
p.s. we have a faboulus Lego Store here and it is not that far to the one and only Legoland in Billund, DK ;)
Oh, be sure to get a photo of Wee One standing by the same fence looking out at the field wearing the same color bright shoes! That is a fabulous series you have started there in Germany.
Have safe travels!
There's also a Legoland Günzburg between Munich and Stuttgart. We're planning on going there in August.
I've always wondered about that mini golf place on rt. 9. We like to bowl at the bowling alley nearby...also a great ac-filled summer activity! :)
have a great trip to germany!
Sorry, Sibylle, no northern Germany trips this year. :(
We went to the Günzburg Legoland two years ago and even stayed in the Legoland Village. The boys LOVED it! We'll probably end up going again next year.
Where would one go if they wanted to go to German Camp? :)
The pic of the boys at the 'top of the rock' is making me nauseous. I could never go up there.
My four year old is just starting to enjoy lego. Since lego was my favourite toy growing up, I'm happy.
Jane, the Goethe Institute offered fun summer language courses for kids. We started calling it camp - just like other kids go to science camp or art camp, ours went to German camp. :)
Hey Aalison! I used to read your blog a long time ago, before Wee was born. It is so cool you keep it up! The twins sure re growing up, I remember when they were Thing 1 and Thing 2!
Looks like a great time! Love the Lego Store! Glad they liked NYC!!
There is also a Legoland in Carlsbad Ca about 35 miles north of San Diego.Partner & I along with my 2 daughters, son in law & 3 grands rented a big 4 bedroom house there & had our Christmas in February (when the 2 oldest grands had a long weekend off school & stretched it a little. Like me, my girls like to avoid traveling at peak times - so much easier on the nerves!) It is a really fun place & we loved being able to spend time at the beach as well (although obviously even southern California is not warm enough for swimming in the ocean in Feb.) Alison, have you & you kids seen the video of the World Cup games done with Legos? The are very cool.
