where are they now: frances
Here's what Frances (from Laines du Nord Simple Knits #5) looked like in November 2007:

Yes, you read right: two thousand SEVEN. That was over three years ago. That was so long ago that this is what wee looked like then:

This little cutie was to some extent responsible for the disappearance of this lovely pink sweater. When she started walking and grabbing things, I had to move my yarn stash out of her room. And in that process, a lot of things got stuffed in bags and into a closet. Bye, bye Frances.
After recently going through my chest of knitted sweaters, I remembered Frances and started a search for what was left of her. I dug up a bag of unfinished projects and there she was, untouched, looking exactly like she did back in 2007. Now, however, she looks like this:

Front and back complete. And I've cast on for a sleeve. Let's see if I can finish her in this decade.

where are they now?
I love your sweater. I stuff my projects into bags in the closet far too often, and I don't have nearly so good a reason as a cute little girl like Wee!
I love the "where are they now" feature! :) And ooooh look at the wee baby cheeks! Too cute!
(Good luck finishing Frances!)
What a wonderful but frightening post! The photo of the wee one really puts it into perspective.
I had a 10 year sweater, what a relief to finish it- and no juxtaposition with photos of my children, that would be too sad!
Impressive! I am also impressed that you are finishing it up. I started a sweater almost 2 years ago, had a baby, and am trying to get back to the size I was when I started the sweater. Lucky for me mine is a cardigan!
Can't wait to see your finished sweater. Looks great so far and I love the color.
I glad you found Frances and are finishing her now. Much better than what happened to a sweater that my Mom was making and had half a sleeve to complete. From the pattern I would say she was making this cute short sleeve pullover back in the mid 1940's! I found it when cleaning out her knitting supplies after she moved into a nursing home just 2 years ago at the age of 95.
I just sort of stopped knitting, after Emily...too tierd at night or busy...besides if she sees me knitting she grabs the ball of yarn and starts messing it up...I would have totally finished Gil's snowflake hat if I would know how to unknot the yarn.
in my unfinished projects is Audrey...remember that knitalong?
