hey, chickie
I finished the front panels of my chickie cardigan.

Still loving the Peace Fleece and still loving the shape of this cardigan. I'm not feeling 100% sure about my calculations to adjust the gauge though, so the rule for this project is going to be 'sew as you go'. Before I really get into the sleeves, I want to sew up the sides and slip the body on to check that the fit is right. Then I can use the same conversion ratio to figure out the numbers for the sleeve and sleeve cap. Measure twice, knit once, right?
Hey, speaking of Peace Fleece (we were, weren't we?), did you see Melissa's finished Banff - in Peace Fleece? Beautiful! And an excellent yarn choice for the sweater. But then again, what wouldn't look good in Peace Fleece??
Here's hoping I do.

I love that waist shaping, it looks great so far. Have you started the back already?
Oooooooooo, so pretty, Tweetypie!
Got to agree with you - love the shaping and love the colour. It's quite a soothing shade of yellow. Have you also lengthened the cardie?
Kerrie, I did finish the back, shortly before I took my blog break last week. Check out the chickie archives for the picture.
Linda, I don't think I lengthened it. I'll have to check my notes. Once I start recalculating for gauge, I don't pay much attention to any of the numbers in the original pattern, so I could have lengthened it without really knowing. I'll check.....
Is that the corn color? Are there any flecks in it? You plan (sew then sleeves) sounds like just the right thing to do.
Oh I love that color, and it looks sooo soft. Can't wait to see the finished product. I love hearing how you measure and adjust. I'm not there yet, but it's really helps to hear what others do. I never would have known without reading blogs like yours. Thanks for sharing!
No, it's measure twice, knit 3 times.
