r & r

I did get a little knitting done right before the move started. I finished knitting the front of brown butter and had just noticed that the decreases on one side of the v-neck would have to be redone, as it ended up being a bit longer than the other side, when I had to put it down. Since then the move has taken up all our free time, which with one toddler in a cast has considerably dwindled, we took an evening off from the moving tonight to relax and watched the tape of Manor House. After reading some of Kathy's posts about it, I was sorry that I had missed watching it when it aired. Even though I should have been working on redoing the shoulder shaping and seaming brown butter, I went ahead and picked up my "sweet" little top for a bit of instant gratification. The last few days have been stressful and I'd really missed the knitting, so I indulged myself.
On a technical note, we don't have an internet connection in our new place yet, so I'll be blogging less frequently until we do (maybe every other day). And I won't have access to the computer at all during the day, so I won't be able to follow up on emails very speedily. Sorry! I hope to be back online daily when the knitalongs start up. Now, off to see more of Manor House....

I'm sorry I missed Manor House, as well. One can only hope it comes out on video. I like how you've written your knitalong's in the sidebars. Feel free to add Smooch in so I can admire the pic daily! Continued best wishes for a smooth move.
Hi Alison -- I regret to say that I'm not going to join your swell Pagan knit-along. I've got patterns and yarn queued up for loads of other projects, and I'm not nearly so quick a knitter as you! If only the hand-dyed flax had met the gauge . . . but really I need to finish this baby sweater that's a gift, and then perhaps make myself the Sitcom Chic I've purchased yarn for. I do enjoy your blog and will watch the knit-along with interest! I'm so sorry about the broken arm -- and wish you all the best with the settling in to your new digs.
I'm new to the knitblog thing. I admire your blog and your work. I'd like to join your tank a long, but I want to do a different pattern. Check the new Swatchy blog, and see if fits whatever criteria that may apply
Hey gals! Kerstin, I saw an ad during the show for the tapes. I bet WGBH is giving them away for a "small" donation!
Too bad you can't join us, Maggi. I admire your willpower to stick with other projects. I have lost track of my old projects and am now obssessed with summer tops.
Swatchy, you're welcome to join us. The tank you selected looks very similar in shape. I know what you mean about making things more interesting - that's why I decided to do stripes for my Pagan tank. Everyone's will be a bit different and I think that's what makes a knitalong so neat!
Did you ever shrink your All Season's Cotton? Wash and dry it in the washer? I am making a top for my younger and I am not sure if I wash and dry it how much smaller it will become.
Love the stripey!!
Hey Chris! I haven't washed the asc yet. It is 40% acrylic, so I'm not sure if it would shrink too much, but I really have no idea. I'll let you know when I do wash it. And you share if you wash first, ok? :)
