Thank you for posting the hot water bottle pattern Alison. I have long admired the ones you knit, but haven't been able to find a suitable pattern to make my own. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for sharing, Alison! I think I'll do a few quick ABCs for Xmas gifts. :)
Wow, how cool. Thanks! (Is this the same Alison who said "I only fiddle with other people's patterns" when I suggested you start designing your own? *teehee* I KNEW you had it in you.) Congrats!
Thanks Alison! I don't know how you do it!
Thanks for sharing those patterns Alison, they'er great... The idea for the hot water bottle cover is really cool, I'll have to try that one..
Many thanks for the Doubleknitski pattern Alison. I enjoy your Blog very much.
I am unable to buy Phildar magazines here. Could you suggest where I may order them from? I wrote direct to Phildar but they have been no help.
All Best Wishes.
Thanks for the gift of your patterns! I am lusting after the ski hat....
Great patterns -- thanks! I want to try the double knitting. I'm still on the gift train -- please change my tally to 6 out of 13! And have a Happy Thanksgiving~
What a nice Thanksgiving present! Thanks and good knitting to all!
Can I just say one thing: I love your blog. I really do. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for the patterns. I thought I was almost done on the gift knitting but have now added two of the double knit hats to the 2 pair of mittens I have left to do. At last I got the 9 hats that I wanted to make done already.
Wow! Great patterns. I am also amazed you have the time and energy to make all these great things! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Alison, thanks for posting the patterns. You are so very generous with your time? Do you every sleep? ha, ha!
You rock! Thanks! Now add a double-knit hat to my list...
THANKS ALISON! Hot water bottle cover is gonna happen..
The patterns are great. Thanks!
These are so excellent - thanks! I'm looking forward to trying double knitting. :)
Thanks for sharing your patterns. I will be making one of each... at least! Also, a very clear explanation of how to create your own customized hot water bottle cover is nice. What a great way to do the swatch for a sweater. I usually make a hat with the swatch but I like this idea better.
Yay to one whos shares her patterns! Thanks! Very well witten too. About the abc beginner's hat: Was it all shown in one lesson? If that's the case, then your students are hot!
Alison...(whew!) great to have found your site..don't understand much what a blog is ( a group of sites?) but am enjoying what you share.
I'm knew to knitting.(.hm-m-m) and want to try your reversible ski cap..also was looking for a suitable hotwaterbottle pattern so I struck paydirt with you!! Thanks!
micki z.
alison, you are doll and so generous in spirit.
hope you and the family had a good thanksgiving.
Hi, how can I get in your holiday gift-along? I'm at 5 of 9 completed.
Nice blog!
~Sarah
The last url was bad- I fixed it.
I really like that abc beginner's hat, I think I'll send that pattern to a friend of mine who is a new-er knitter.
I'm so glad so many of you are interested in the patterns. I'll be knitting another doubleknitski in a finer gauge and can add those numbers to the pattern when I'm finished.
KeLee, I love the idea of making the hot water bottle jumper as a gauge swatch project. How fun! You can try out all the patterning that your final sweater your going to have. It sounds like a super idea for practicing a norwegian fair-isle, where you really need to do a swatch in the round! I may have to do that sometime. :)
Marie, my beginning knitting students had three sessions (one each week) to get through knitting their first hat. I'm proud to say that everyone had a finished hat at the end of the third session. Sarah Elizabeth, with a little guidance from someone who can knit, I think the abc pattern is a great way for a new knitter to see all the different skills that knitting requires and produce a lovely first project. I hope she likes it!
Micki Z., a blog is a web-log or web journal. Some blogs have a specific focus, like my knitting blog, some are more like personal diaries. Check out Amy's Web Watch Blog at Interweave Knits' website for periodic information on the www-world of knitting. Or follow the "Knitting Bloggers" links on the left side of my site to visit other knitting blogs in the Knitting Blogs Ring (a ring is a collection of similar sites that contain links to one another so you can travel directly from one to the next, to the next...). Have fun exploring!
