merry christmas to me

Tis the season for presents, right? I had to do it. I got tired of making calmer caps and having to give them away, so I finally made one for myself.

I used some Phildar Sport Laine I had in my stash (thanks, Becky!), which is aran weight wool so despite the lace patterning this hat should keep my head pretty warm.

It seems like at some point in the history of my being cold, I decided that all of my own winter hats, scarves, gloves should be this blue color (exhibit a: my blue hat). I have to admit to being lazy fashion girl with only two pairs of shoes and one hat/scarf set! But with a small stash of pale blue yarn, I can always make myself a little something new that still matches everything I've already got. It's a great excuse for me to pick up lovely blue yarn whenever I see it. And a couple of skeins will do in a pinch for a stocking stuffer for me (hint, hint - tee hee).

Cute hat. Only two pair of shoes? I went out today and bought two pair. Working retail for Christmas has my feet hurting so I took the plunge and bought two more pairs, now to throw out the older ones. I did finish up two pair of felted mittens over the holiday. Two hats to go and finish up another hat. Plus, my mothers felted bag when the Lily pattern gets here.

I am glad you made one of those hats for yourself. They look so nice on you. What Rowan is it from?

I am impressed about the 2 pairs of shoes. What are they?

Nice hat! I like it! 2 pairs of shoes? I'm impressed. I don't have tons of them, because they don't make very many cute shoes in an AA width, but I have more than 2! :-)

Great Hat! The color really looks great on you. Now you need matching mittens and a scarf.

That hat looks so good on you, I'm glad you made one for yourself. I finished another pair of mittens, so that's 5 down, who knows how many more to go. Thinking of cheating and doing some sewing...

Love the hat! And thank you for the pattern for the doubleknitski double-knit ski cap. I have one on the needles for son #2.
