what'da gonna dooooo?
When one of my boys drops something or can't get something that he wants, he says "oh no, what'da gonna dooooo?" I blame Boots the Monkey for modeling this behavior. But I found myself saying this more than once in the last few days whenever I thought of working on my cardi raye. Still no green yarn - oh no, what'da gonna doooo?
I've resorted to knitting ava non-stop. She's coming along nicely. The back and one of the front panels are done.

Not that I'm not enjoying ava, but I just keep thinking that Dora would have some green yarn in that backpack of hers!

As my Will--avid Dora fan himself--would say, "I know where that green yarn is. Say. . .MAP!" As for my own battle with green yarn, I'm not cashing it in on Linen Drape, yet. I had a vision. . .
Damn. I've got that song in my head now. "C'mon everybody lets go..." Nice Ava. Have you contemplated calling about the yarn yet? Seems like a long time.
That sneaky swiper the fox, he always takes our stuff.
For those who missed the details: my yarn did finally arrive from the Netherlands, but there was a big difference in the colors in the two dye lots. But Kimberly from my knitting group happens to have some in exactly the right dye lot. Still it's going to take a couple of days until she can mail it to me. So, I'm still cardi waiting!
Ava is going to be one shapely top. Can't wait to see this one!
I love your reference to Dora and Boots the Monkey. As you know, my boy is a big fan now. Whenever we go to a store with automatic doors, he'll stop in front of them and screech, "OPEN!" When he steps through them, he'll turn around and screech, "CLOSE!" People within a 50 mile radius hear him. I blame Dora. Whadya gonna dooooooooooo? :-)
Don't rely on Dora's backpack for your yarn! With the way your luck is going, it would be the wrong dye lot.
Ava is looking good and I'm really digging your giraffe.
