momma's got a brand new bag

I ran into Amy at the playground yesterday! She spied me starting a new project. Someone needs a Sophie bag. I saw Carolyn's recently finished and totally fabulous Sophie bag and when I realized that it only took one skein of yarn, I thought, hey, I have one skein of yarn!

Just call me the bag lady, 'cause I got another gift from my secret pal - a cute little tote bag (from Target, I think - gotta love Target!). It's striped and blue (my two favorite things) and is perfect for bringing my knitting to the playground. Thanks secret pal!

Bag lady (that's me) to knitalongers old and new (that's you, banffers, pant-alongers, spring flingers, and linen drapers): hey, how's it going?? I fell behind in my blog-surfing while the in-laws were here, so please let me know about exciting progress updates and/or finished projects. I can't wait to see what you've all been up to!

*cough* We could have a "bag-along" *cough* - I'm halfway through a Booga Bag that will be a gift for a friend of mine visiting in a week and a half. And I'm feeling springy enough that I might have to jump back in the spring fling with a little tank :)

My Spring Fling has been flung but I await wedding photos to show me showing off the finished garment...stay tuned!

my no-sweat pants have been looong neglected and i'm afraid i don't see progress happening anytime soon! we're trying not to run the AC in my new apartment (not an easy task in NC!) and knitting sweatpants when it's humid and 85° INSIDE doesn't sound like fun!

I have finished my vintage knit/linen drape-along ribbed top and it is on my blog for you to see. It was an enjoyable knit and the linen drape lives up to its name.

Hey Alison...
A bag along is a great idea! Count me in..I am gearing up for a pink stripey sophie myself...actually this weekend...I am casting on...tibetan rose and soft pink cascade 220.
Add me to the bag along...I know of at least 2 gals who are fiona-ing as well!! GottaHavaBag fever is running rampant!

My spring fling will be blocking this weekend...I am finishing up straps tonight on my pink cottonfleece chickami.

:) H

Hi Alison! For some reason, the line "I have one skein of yarn" has got me rolling on the floor.

One.

Hahahahaha!!

Am trying hard to make Knitsmiths with my 20 years of left-over yarn....

Alison, I keep swatching my linen D and can't come up with anything - Mason Dixon Ann has me thinking macrame - and I love the projects in E Knight's Simple Crochet - so maybe I'm close to picking a project! (still owe you a pants pic!)

Bag-A-Long? I've been having one all by myself, so sign me up. I'm on my second Sophie bag, and Kemp is waiting in the wings. Love the striped Target bag - now I need to head over there and check out the summer bags!

Hey, purse people, there's a Purse-Along already going on! Check it out at Wombatty's. Let's all join together, shall we??
