sew blue stash day

Just because you're not sewing doesn't mean you can't add to your sewing stash. Right?

Lynn generously sent me some old Burda mags, including the issue where they introduced their redesigned superpattern sheets.

Before.

After.

Okay, I will never again complain about the burda pattern sheets. That first one would stop me sewing forever!

And Sharon kindly sent me some kids' fabric that she didn't need anymore. This cord fabric is my favorite of the bunch. So sweet.

Thanks so much, ladies! I love looking through patterns and trying to decide what to do with the great fabrics I've got. It's so much fun. Now someone just needs to send me a swift kick in the pants to get me motivated to start sewing again.

So what are you going to make from that cute animal print? Love that little pig, so cute!

And I kind off miss your frankensweater. Where did it go?

Wow! On seeing that first picture, I thought you were going to say that your kids had scribbled all over the pattern. Maybe it's a little better in person but that is the stuff that sewing nightmares are made of!

*KICK* :-) Go make something pretty (again!)

I'm consistently impressed by all the lovely things that you create... and I can see what you mean about that scary pattern sheet!

So glad you like the fabric. Thank you so much for the Cascade! I can't wait to try the Sophie bag.

I'd write a witty comment, but my eyes exploded when I saw that burda pattern.

Hi, remember me? I'm your new fan from Norway ;-) Actually, may be I'm more like your new STALKER, at least on the blog. I keep spying on you all the time, checking in on you every day.

And now I've even started copying you. That's what a good stalker does, isn't it? I just love the tea set you're making, and now I've made one too. Or, actually, it's not exactly the same. And mine doesn't have any cups, at least not yet. Hey, why don't you come over. Bring your cups and we can have tea! I'll serve some cake at http://heleneh.sprayblogg.no

Thanks, Jon, just what I needed! ;0)

Helene, love your tea set, especially the yummy pastries! Do you think we should make a little "tea party" knitalong??

Posted by: alison at June 20, 2004 10:42 PM

Why not! I'm not sure if I'll make my tea party any bigger, think I'm a bit tea-partied-out for now, but I'm sure others will join in the fun ;-)

If anyone is interested my tea party comes from Jean Greenhowes "little dumpling dolls" part one, and is a part of Miss Muffin's Tea Shoppe. Hey, if there will be a knittalong, may be I should finish Miss Muffin, so we have someone to serve us the tea?

Alison: You're welcome. I think I need a similar kick to finish my Spring Fling contribution.
