Swam at the coolest pool ever. What a view! They had a heated outdoor pool too. (Look!)
Learned to ride a "big bike". With training wheels, versteht sich.
Got caught climbing a tree when no-one was looking. "Oh yeah, I can climb a tree. You didn't know that?"
Found our way through a corn maze.
Went down a mountain in a toboggan. Seriously, you had to take a ski lift to get back up to the top. (See the lift in the background?)
Did silly things for the camera. (Check out that old Pan Am hat!)
Finished pop. Hooray! (Pictures taken by S "all by myself".)

S is a really good photographer. That pool looks awesome!
What a cool vacation! Your boys are the cutest!
I wass really sad when you decieded to change POP from her original incarnation cause I thought the "hole" and the big button were really cute BUT you've outdone yourself Alison! You're redesigned POP in to an absolutely stunning sweater! It is perfection!! Brava!
I'm loving these pics. Looks like you guys are having a great time. Could you stay a few more weeks, and take more pics? (Oh, and love the sweater.)
Looks like a wonderful trip!
Hooeay for Pop! It looks great! And S has quite the photographers eye :)
Pop looks great! I really like the long sleeves!
Whereabouts in Germany were you? Somewhere in Bayern or Baden-Württemberg?
Oh man, is there space in the suitcase for me? I thought it could not get any cooler than the pool but the tobaggan....bikes....corn maze...I bet it was not just fun for the kids! Fantastic!
Pop is very cute on you. Boy, S. is getting so big!
I'm a long-time reader, de-lurking to say how stunning your 'pop' sweater looks on you. Have been following your progress and you definitely chose the perfect design!

And your sweater - it's absolutely perfect. Just perfect. The hood was definitely the right choice.
Great pictures! The boys are adorable, as usual. And Pop looks fantastic!
Pop looks great! The hood definitely works for it. Although I still sorta miss the holey thing. Great photography :)
That's even cuter on that I thought it would be. Totally cute sweater!

B has quite an eye...framed the pic perfectly. where the heck did your "city kid" learn to climb a tree? we miss you guys and can't wait til your return...looks like you are having an amazing time. POP is Phantastisch!
Sweet vacation pics, and Pop looks great! Perfect solution to your Pop problem, perfect fit.
Pop looks awesome ! I read the previous posts about this sweater, and I can't believe the amount of work that was put in it... but it was worth it, I love it. Congratulations ! It fits perfectly.
I definitely think this is the right reincarnation of Pop. This really works and I love the way the colors do "pop".
The pictures of your vacation were so much fun. Thanks for sharing them.
Pop looks amazing, we went through a similar corn maze recently and it was loads of fun. Did you have to find animals in cages all the way though? sounds like a great vacation to me. thanks for the postcard by the way...
Sounds so fun! And Pop looks great! I definitely like this finish better than the one from a few months back...
you modified that so well! That is just a great sweater. Make me one please! :)
you modified that so well! That is just a great sweater. Make me one please! :)
Pop is awesome! The pool is pretty cool too.
Looks like you had a great time Alison! The boys are adorable, and what adventures you all had. Pop looks amazing :)
I have been watching the progress of this sweater and absolutely love how its turned out. Beautiful...I want one! Would it be morally all right for you to publish the pattern as your own, given that you made so many changes to the original?
I LOVE the finished Pop! Worth all that reworking, it was!
Ok, so your Pop? I think it was worth the angst. Love it.
Herzlichen Gluckwuensch! Pop is fantastisch!
Pop is gorgeous! I just love the hood it is the perfect solution. You look so happy in it.
Thanks for taking us on vacation w/you--lot's of fun!
I love the sweater! And that pool is awesome, it's hard to find kid friendly places that aren't massive tourist traps, looks like a good time!
Alison, I just saw this picture and thought of you:

Ron clearly has some kind of hand-knit, garter-stitch, patchwork afghan or blanket.
Pop looks amazing - I love the hood - and S is quite the photographer. I feel like I'm on a little mini vacation - the shots of Berlin were cool and whatever amusement park/pool hotel you're at is amazing!! Can't wait to see what yarn you bring back to KS. We miss you...
What fun vacation memories!
Excuse me for saying so, but your pool pics look just like a place we stayed in Nebraska....and you mentioned a corn maize? were you really in Nebraska?
I love the sweater.
Love Pop! Nice colours still!
Looks like you guys had a good time!! Welcome back state-side:)
Looks like Germany is fun.. I had almost forgotten about that ;-)
The pop is so beautiful! What a great colour combination. And it looks sporty, elegant and fashionable at the same time. You must be very satisfied with this knit, at least with the outcome.
Unfortunately Abigail, I have absolutely no idea what I did anymore. I redid the thing so many times that the three patterns I used are totally marked up. I can't distinguish one set of marks from the other or I've crossed them out, so I really couldn't even reproduce this sweater myself. The hood was directly from Under the Hoodie, but the sweater body is a fitted set-in-sleeve sweater. If you find a sweater body pattern that is similar and you like, you can do the same thing I did and just add the hood. Happy knitting!
